Where did this steaming pile come from?

This week there was a news clip of the guy at a recent townhall commenting on his apprehension of the socialistic direction the nation is heading.

The key to that exchange was to watch McCain's reaction. He didn't repond to the guy making the comment. Instead, he turned and walked away, an almost-chagrined look on his face. McCain did not like that question/commentary.

Yet, most on FR and most at that townhall would have sided with the guy making the comment.

McCain is still too busy trying to reach across the aisle, appease his 'friends' on the other side and his 'friends' in the media. Too bad he hasn't been reading the press clippings or listening to their commentaries on tv and radio about McCain. Those commentaries are certainly not favorable.

"We ourselves need to drag him across the finish line."

Why worry now?

The UK Telegraph was one of only two papers (Daily Mail?) that was not total PC, marxist, EUSSR spewing propaganda hacks. The Telegraph has gotten crappy now too.

The Times of London is total trash.

Ignore the polls. This article is the worst propaganda I have read in a long time. Be prepapred for a lot more of this folks. BE prepared for a LOT more crap like this.

Volunteer and contribute (if you can afford it) to McCain-Palin 2008.

Remember - John McCain is a war hero and Obama is a marxist, Hamas mole, friend of terrorists and probably not even a U.S. citizen.

“It’s not good for the Obama campaign that their supporters think they have won. That doesn’t bring out people like the fear on our side will.”

You are right. Sadly this election reminds me of Bob Dole's. Many talking about how well McCain is doing and the press etc is definitely wrong in what they are saying about McCain.

What we don't need is off hand statements that McCain is going to win. As you said, he might or he might not win. It really is going to be up to what we do to get him there.

We can not count on October, November, or any other surprises. It is for a large part going to be what we do or not. Luckily, FR will be here either way.

Luck and prayers to all.

"Anyone have opinions on the spin of a big loss v. a narrow loss for McCain (just for the sake of argument assuming a loss)."

I have an opinion on a big Obama loss v. a narrow Obama loss if you want to hear it.

"Give up you stupic Republican Colonials, You should have knuckled under to our monarchy 232 years ago!" is what the article says.

Well, we f__ked you then, and we will f__k Nazobamster now.

Count on it.

Maybe you can get Nazobamster to concede in Charlestown.

Only an idiot or a Briton would believe that Palin is out there, a loose cannon, doing her own thing, and that McCain is arguing with her to tone it down,,etc.

This is classic campaign 101,,, aggressive attack dog Veep, throwing red meat to the base,, the pres candidate above the fray, appealing to the middle.

I hate to say it,, but we have to beat this marxist friend of the muslims. Our very freedom depends on it. Usually i dont feel that way before an election.

Our base is already reliably terrified of Obama,, and McCain on his most liberal day is 100 times better than this truly frightening alternative. Ergo,,,we MUST focus on the swing vote now. And that is what i think (hope) McCain is doing here. I think it would blow our minds to know how many people vote for the one they think “seems nicest”. I hate it too, but time to face reality.

But i assure you, Palin isn’t doing a damn thing that isnt 100% in step with the overall strategy. Get real Times.

“Mark Salter, McCain’s long-serving chief of staff, is understood to have told campaign insiders that he would prefer his boss, a former Vietnam prisoner of war, to suffer an “honourable defeat” rather than conduct a campaign that would be out of character – and likely to lose him the election.”

Mark Salter needs to resign.

A. Is there tape of this? Why haven’t we heard it? Or is this the recollection of some in-the-tank journalist-for-Obama???????

B. what about the Obama people threatening Palin with gang rape? What about the anti-American Obama fundraiser who tried to disrupt Palin’s speech and then is welcomed with open arms by The Great Barack himself at a subsequent fund-raiser?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Don’t quote Salter on this.

The only words that he actually spoke were “honourable defeat”. He could have been talking about the Toledo and Michighan game today for all that you and I know.

If he goes after Palin, he’ll lose by the only landslide larger than Mondale’s loss to Reagan. I think Palin should ditch him.

Wake up people and stop believing this crap. Stop whining.

Go down to your local McCain office ASAP and make calls, volunteer or help out. No football games on TV. Work to win or at least stop whining and stop accpting blatant propaganda. If yoiu have a few bucks to spare, contribute to the campaign. I sure as hell am.

We are going to win this thing. Hillary Democrats who hate Obama have more guts than some of our chicken little people. They hate Obama and will be voting against him.

“We want McCain to call 0bama’s “95% tax cut” what it really is: WELFARE.

We want McCain to defend the America we know and love and don’t want to lose to 0bama’s gang of left-wing radicals.”

While I don’t agree that McCain should be doing what you want in the first part of your post, I definitely agree with the last part of your post.

I anxiously await the last debate.

BTW, WRT the first part of your post, I think that is happening as we speak without McCain calling him out.
