McCain Camp, RNC To Spend $160 Million In Final Weeks
FoxNews.com ^ | 10/10/08 | James Rosen

John McCain's campaign and the Republican National Committee plan to spend "upwards of $160 million" in the final weeks of the presidential race, according to a senior McCain adviser.

This will represent a massive counter-attack to combat Barack Obama's lopsided spending advantage to date.

The McCain adviser told FOX News that, while Obama is outspending them in all but two of 14 battleground states, "that will change over the last four weeks."

As national and battleground state polls show McCain trailing Obama consistently, McCain is urging voters not to count him out.

"In case you missed it, this is about the seventh or eighth time that pundits have said 'McCain's campaign is in trouble,'" he told Wisconsin voters Thursday. "We fooled them then and we will fool them again."

160 Million is a LOT of wood.

160 Million is a ton of money for a YEAR, any product or service that spends 160 Million a year is a major advertiser.

This is an all out blitz. 160 Million in 3 weeks will cancel out the MSM.

That doesn’t even count the 527’s, the NRA, etc. We could spend up to 200 Million from now until the election, it will have a major impact, people will have plenty of doubt about Obama by the time they step into the voting booth.

I’ll bet Hussein is way behind on his fund raising. No doubt his campaign is misspending their money and will have little left to counterattack the RNC/McCain onslaugh. I suspect the McCain campaign expected they would be a point or 2 behind (as they may be now) at the end but knew they could make it up with their closing argument and go ahead.

McCain should buy some tv time and spend 30minutes discussing a ppt presentation of Obama’s ties to radicals.

I pray you are right. I’m right on the edge of giving up on this, and I don’t want to.

Hell Yeah!!!!!!

I knew something up when I looked at politicos numbers for campaign spending and Obama was ahead by 2 to 1 or more in many swing states.

I had a feeling McCain was being disciplined and holding his money back until it mattered in the last few weeks of the election given that Obama’s money advantage pretty much got negated by adding Palin to the ticket.

160 million dollars to create a giant laser beam aimed squarely at the heart of the Obama campaign.

If you haven’t already, please go make a contribution to the RNC. It’s super important.
That half hour Obama bought needs to be countered.

Don’t give up — ignore the polls/ignore the media/get out the vote for McCain!

We are going to win this one! Obama has not been having that many fundraisers and DNC has little money to give.

Advantage: McCain/Palin

He could explain that Clower-Piven diagram we’ve seen with all the arrows - oh, never mind, NOBODY has enough TV money to tackle that...maybe that’s what Bambi is counting on.

I wonder if any of that money will be used to put McCain on prime time national television for a half hour ad.

There are several “oh shits” being said in Obie’s camp right now because they do not have this type of money. Now begins the schooling to the false prophet.

I heard the NRA has at least $40 million they will spend. The NRA never loses and protects our rights better than any other organization in the USA. Very good people.

Okay folks. The big guns are getting rolled out. McCain’s an old naval salt. His father and grandfather were admirals. CCCP Obama garbage has spent probably $200 million, fired endless salvos with misses on the USS McCain. The USS McCain-Palin is coming to flank speed. The 16-inch guns are getting firing orders.

The USS McCain has been holding fire like a naval battle. He also has freeaking Annie Oakley/the female bear killer covering his back. Sarah is a darling of the NRA.

The big 16-inch guns on the USS Missouri McCain-Palin are about to be trained on CCCP Barry Soerto garbage scow (the Indonesian citizen and illegal alien). Get ready to fire.

Let’s make sure we volunteer at local McCain HQ and if you have some money to spare - donate to McCain-Palin 2008.

I've given $1100.00 up to now. That's about it for me along with the yard sign and bumper stickers.
