Vandals spray-painted the words “Republican means slavery” on the door of the York County GOP campaign headquarters overnight Friday.
Party volunteers called police after discovering the message when they arrived at the office on Rock Hill’s Oakland Avenue. The vandals also stole about 45 candidate signs from the front yard and spray-painted over a banner that carried a picture of Republican presidential nominee John McCain. Their messages included lettering and symbols sometimes used by gangs.
The culprits could face charges on petty larceny and damage to property, said Rock Hill police Sgt. Roderick Stinson. No one appears to have entered the office

McCall said he believes the vandals were trying to influence voters at a time when polls show a tight contest.
“It just goes to show the election is much closer than folks would have you believe,” McCall said. “We have probably the most liberal ticket on the Democratic side that we’ve ever seen. When I look at the polls, it’s within the margin of error. There are people who are just getting nervous about that. As a result, they do desperate things.”

Vandals were trying to influence polls in what way? This sort of thing hurts their candidate more than it helps. I have yet to hear Zer0bama denounce this kind of violence btw. If anything he almost encourages it with his get in their face rhetoric. I think John (”don’t fear 0bama”) McCain ought to be using this as an issue. Call on 0bama to rein in his backers.
The GOP is about to spend $160+ million in the swing states, plus all the money that the NRA and other groups are about to spend against Obama. Next week the news is going to be about ACORN, it has been brewing this weekend and as the week progresses the MSM will not be able to keep the lid on it any longer. So called "Troopergate" landed like a big thud for the Left and is not going to help Obama. Palin being found "guilty but didn't do anything wrong" and the fact that the cop used a taser on his step son is going to be too hard for the Left to spin to the un-decideds, they aren't going to care and if they do they won't blame her for trying to get the smuck fired; but 4,000 dead people voting in Houston and the Dallas Cowboys registering to vote in Las Vegas and investigations all over the country is going to play. Dead people voting for Democrats is a given for most people, but having proof of it reminds everyone that Democrats are dirty. Obama's strategy at this point is to play prevent defense and the GOP is about to cut lose, he is going to be overwhelmed. Obama has no cards left to play, there is nothing left to throw at Palin, the only baggage they managed to dig up that hurts her is John McCain. They are trying to throw Keating at McCain and everyone knows he was found to have been the only one who didn't do anything. The latest they are trying to toss at him is connections to Iran-Contra; big deal, most of the country that remembers Iran-Contra sided with Reagan and thought Congress was wrong and Reagan did the right thing.
The Independents are going to go to the voting booth and and see John McCain the Hero that they know and trust and B. Hussein Obama who they know nothing about except all he is ever doing is saying he didn't know all the people his is connected to. Every friend he has is either a thief, a hate mongering racist, or a radical hippy who got away with bombing his own country and murdering people. The choice will be easy for them.
We are going to win this election probably by a huge margin and the Left is going to go nuts. I believe there are going to be riots all over the country that are going to make the Rodney King Riots look like child's play. Be prepared, make sure you stock up food for at least a week.

Half right. It won’t be a huge margin but McCain should win, judging by the polls (which I use for example). Obomber should by ahead in 20 polls by 20 points but 4-5 points average? That means Zogby knows McCain is actually ahead.

The vandal was obviously not schooled in history... Republicans freed the slaves, joined the union army in droves and voted for every bill and legislative measure in favor of African Americans from the start of the war to present times. The first legislation that Democrats ever voted for that was favorable for the African American race, was the civil rights act in 1964... A full 100 years after the abolition of slavery.

I agree with most of what you said. The concern I have is that the average guy in the street is not as well-informed as you are or as you assume he is.
The average guy in the street might actually be swayed to vote for Obama if he hears that the Dallas Cowboys are planning to vote for him in Las Vegas. I realize this sounds absurd, but that is because you are intelligent and informed. If the rest of the voters were, the Democrats would not be happily publicizing the endorsements of the empty heads in Hollywood.

One of our best hopes is if we can continuously advertise the truth. They need to hear over and over and over, (like the effective commercials for Coke or Budweiser) that REPUBLICANS ended slavery, that REPUBLICANS work to promote job creation, that Democrat supporters are thugs, steal votes, vandalize buildings, homes, campaign signs, cars, and that the free handouts that the Democrats promise will end when you’ve drained the middle class dry. Then where are you going to go for money? The rich will be long gone.
(The biggest campaign sign near where I live is for McCain and it has been vandalized. I’ve never seen an Obama sign vandalized.)

I am only TOO aware that you kid me not! I would estimate thant more than ninety percent of black people in the South if asked to name Lincoln’s party would say that he was a Democrat. They are not interested in facts, if you meet a black person who has not fallen into that trap invite them to dinner and support them, it must be awfully lonely to be a black person who embraces the truth. James David Manning is way over the top a lot of times but he is a very courageous man to stand up and say what he does, he is putting his life on the line to try to stop Obama.

Dinty Moore stew is very good. It is the staple canned good in our stockpile. Sam’s sells them in a 6 pack. We also have lots of canned soup, oatmeal, granola bars, evaporated milk and of course, bottled water. Cans of nuts and dried fruit is good to have too. Only buy what you think you will actually eat and rotate your stockpile. For long term survival, stock up on dried beans and rice. They should keep for 8-10 years.

Very good point, does Obama have ANY support from ANYONE who is a traditional American hero type? Does anyone who has the respect of conservative America have anything good to say about Obama? I think alot of people will be very surprised at the level of anger and violence that we will see after the election. People on both sides are furious and frightened. It’s only going to get worse when the election is over. If McCain wins, the liberals will feel like the election was stolen “again” and will riot. If Obama wins, the liberals will celebrate by rioting. Either way, I’m afraid of what is going to happen. I hope I’m wrong.

As someone said,”Never underestimate the lowly .22 long rifle”. No standard velocity though. Nothing less powerful than the CCI Minimag and preferably the Stinger hollow point or the hyper-velocity 40 grain long rifle cartridge. We should each have at least 5000 rounds of long rifle ammo and corresponding rifles and handguns and then start buying the heavier arms and ammo. If Obama wins there will be so much tax on ammo and probably weapons as well that Warren Buffett and Bill Gates will be the only Americans who can afford to shoot. The rest of us will have to learn to make our own bows and arrows.
In all honesty, I live in an urban area that is 60/40 black. I’m sure it is an Obama stronghold, but there are no yard signs or bumperstickers. In fact I saw an elderly African-American gentleman yesterday with a McCain/Palin bumperticker.

No hollow points. Stopping an attacker with a .22 requires a head or spine shot, which takes penetration power to get through bone. High velocity solids for me.
The forty grain hyper velocity is very good but I believe a Stinger in the head will stop most people. One in the throat will stop just about anybody. Of course something twice as big would be ideal but I don’t plan to carry a .45 everywhere I go.
Actually, although I have heard of someone shot multiple times with a .22 and charging on I suspect that most of these cases involve low quality ammunition and or poor firearms. I have seen someone shoot a pork and bean can at ten feet and have the bullet bounce off but that was a cheap revolver with a gap equal to the thickness of a nickle and very sorry ammo. One round of hyper velocity ammo from a quality pistol at close range will severely discourage most. We almost lost Ronald Reagan to a shot in the ribs with a .22.
As far as penetrating bone, my father used to shoot hogs every year on the farm for butchering and he refused to use anything stronger than a .22 short. These would easily penetrate the toughest forehead on any large hog and the bullet was usually found well inside the brain cavity or even further in. They all dropped straight down in their tracks. Wild hogs of course are a different matter entirely.

If you need water, the hotwater tanks in most homes hold between thirty and eighty gallons. If you boil food when rationing, use the water left after the food is removed to flush toilets; if foods are boiled in a plastic baggie (like used for cooking a roast, or turkey, etc.), the water is sterilized for drinking and will keep for a long time if poured into a sealable container while still above 160 degrees and the top sealed.
