Tina Fey 'leaving Earth' if Palin wins
MSNBC ^ | Mon., Oct. 13, 2008

Actress has had fun with impersonation on ‘SNL,’ but can't do four years

Tina Fey is generating big laughs and big audiences for “Saturday Night Live” with her impersonation of Gov. Sarah Palin, but the actress hopes it doesn't last.

“We're gonna take it week by week. If she wins, I'm done,” Fey tells TV Guide in the Oct. 20 issue. “I can't do that for four years. And by ‘I'm done,’ I mean I'm leaving Earth.”

The “30 Rock” star also said the election season and playing Sen. John McCain's running mate has been a fun and busy time.

“Election time is always good for ('SNL,') and this is a bonkers election,” Fey said. “And that lady is a media star. She is a fascinating person. She's very likable. She's fun to play, and the two bits with Amy (Poehler) — that was super fun.”

And a whole lot of their friends?
Susan Sarandon, Tim Robbins, the whole Sheen family, John Travolta (if nothing else to stop Hairspray 2) etc.

Let us all hope that Tina Fey keeps her word. She is nothing anyhow.

Promises, promises. Where have we heard this before? If only these libs kept their promises. Then, again, they wouldn’t be libs then.

I didn't take Tina the same way as Baldwin meant when he said he was leaving the country.

Yeah like she will leave! Her career on SNL is set for the next 4 years, why the hell would she go anywhere?! Cher and Susan Sarandon have been promising to move for years and their still unfortunatly here!

Although I admit that I wouldn’t know Tina Fey if she walked up to our front door, I would like to wish her a hardy farewell and good riddance.
Na, na, na, na,
Na, na, na, na,
hey, hey, hey,
Goodbye.

If only all the liberal bottom-feeders who promised to leave if Bush got elected had kept their promise, this nation would be so much better now.

Hey, Oaf Fey, why don’t you ram it, cram it, jamb it, and slam it?

Does anyone read past the headline anymore?

Sheesh.

Actually, Fey (who wouldn’t vote for Palin in a billion years) isn’t really being as ass with this particular comment. She’s just saying she doesn’t want to get trapped in the same role for the next four years.

I don’t ever remember seeing a celebrity get so instantly tied to a particular politician as the Palin/Fey thing. Chevy Chase sorta got tied to Gerald Ford, but he didn’t even really impersonate him or anything. He would just be introduced as Ford and then fall down. Typically weak Chevy Chase effort.

Anyway, in this picture, Fey looks a little bit like Palin and Ross Perot combined:

All the more reason to try and help Palin win.

I would love to see the smugness wiped off their faces.

“I didn’t take Tina the same way as Baldwin meant when he said he was leaving the country.”

Same for me. Had to read the whole story. Fey was rather complimentary toward Sarah — “likable, fascinating, fun to play, media star.”
