THIS RACE IS WINNABLE!!!

Posted on 10/14/2008 9:10:48 PM PDT by WestFlorida

Let me be clear, we are without a doubt behind in this race. The odds are definitely against us, but then again with the right/wrong numbers the way they have been and presidential approval numbers very low, we knew this for over a year. I believe the same party has held the white house three elections in a row only twice the last 100 years.

But taking all those things into account, along with the fact that we have BEEN OUTSPENT 3 TO 1. That is about to change, with the RNC committing to about 7.5 million a day along with the 527's(Obama has been spending 3 million a day). Obama should be 15 points ahead, and I mean in legitimate polls with properly weighed samples. He's not because voters have serious doubts about his character.

The point is, we have taken there best shots and are still standing. So everybody go rent the move "Miracle" about the US 1980 Olympic Hockey Team, watch my Tampa Bay Rays go to the world series Thursday(Hopefully!!), and keep the faith. We have approximately 200,000 more absentee ballot requests in Florida than the dems so far.

NEVER GIVE UP!

Yes, Berdie, I joined that last night. But you know what? It hasn’t always been this way. My newspaper has been published in a conservative area and only veered to the left shortly before the ‘04 election. Since then, it has been shamelessly leftist. I went back and forth with the Projects editor (16 or 17 emails) last week about his Palin/censorship article. He refuse to answer any of my questions.

The only question now is whether Obama will squeak by or win in a landslide. McCain looks pathetic, he is basically toast absent a major military action or major screw-up by Obama, and neither appears likely. Even terrorist types like Osama are going to lie low, because they will fare better under Obama.

Many of the various democrat constituencies are lazy people. Voting takes effort to wake up, get dressed and go stand in line at the polls on a cold November day. How many democrats are going to wake up, read the paper, see that their guy is up 15 points in the polls and say, "Screw it. It's cold outside. Obama has this one in the bag. I'm going back to bed!"

Exactly right. I would add that a lot of the Libs who have been screaming like crazy for Obama during the summer won't desert the bong in their parents' basements to get out and actually vote.

True. We are still standing strong. I support Gov. Palin 100% and pray for McCain daily.

I have a similar situation. They, too, veered to the left. And still do to a degree.

I don’t believe my actions made any difference, but I think a lot of emails to the editor and to the ADVERTISORS made a difference.

$$$$$ talks.

I don’t know how to import this AP article currently on Yahoo:

“Activist Group defends itself against voter registration fraud allegations”

The AP defends ACORN despite the investigations revealing enormous numbers of fraudulent registrations in more than ten states. Can we beat this?

“Let me be clear, we are without a doubt behind in this race.”

WestFlorida, I see that you’re a newbie. Go sell that “...doubt...” someplace else. Trying to sow seeds of discontent? Are you basing your false assumptions on push polls, or are you just posing? The only poll I’m interested in is my kiszka-polska.

Yes. People are focusing on ACORN more intensely.

Take FR’s “Red Squirrel Brigade” ...

And I see a whole army of my countrymen here in defiance of tyranny. You have come to fight as free men, and free men you are. What would you do without freedom? Will you fight?

Fight? Against that? No, we will run; and we will live.

Aye, fight and you may die. Run and you’ll live — at least a while. And dying in your beds many years from now, would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to that for one chance, just one chance to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they’ll never take our freedom!!!

“I sent Palin/McCain $200 tonight. Anyone else send them anything?”

So far $200 every 2 weeks ($600 total) to McCain-Palin and one-time $250 to Republican Congressional Committee-—All money well spent...

I am SURE they’re going to need every penny!

In 2004 you could send money to a 527, "Swift Boat for Truth". I would like to contribute to a 527 that would air TV ads that McCain thinks would be "disrespectful" like Wright's anti-white diatribe, that he won't hit Obama on. Can anyone give me the name of such 527's?

" Actually, I doubt that very much. The poll samplings have been outrageously in favor of the Democrats, in obvious hopes the McCain-leaning people will be discouraged and vote Obama, or not at all. "

For those Republican Chicken Little's and Hand wringers ???

WAKE UP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Come on in and join the broken glass Republicans.
You don't know what a " Broken Glass Republican is ??
Here's a education for you.
A " Broken Glass Republican " is someone who ? ( Figuratively that is ) who will still GOTV !!! and GO VOTE on election day and night ( even after the Republican voter oppression by the MSM ) .. who would go vote even if i.e.
Rain ... Sleet ... Snow ... Earthquakes ... Tornadoes ... End of the world ... Volcanoes ... Coup Attempt by Obama and his thugs ( in which in this case is true ) ... Tsunamis ... Planets colliding ... Our Sun burns out... our Galaxy crashes into the next Galaxy .. so on and so on.
A " Broken Glass Republican " will drag themselves to the polls even if both legs are broken, craw over glass that was pour with alcohol .... that is a " Broken Glass Republican .
Screw the polls.. disregard what the MSM says..... let's tick them off and have a landslide for McMack and Sarah !!!

I sent another $100 this morning.

The big RNC spending is ready to hit hard soon. If not already.

Thanks for the bump up.

Remember that in the Democratic primaries, Obama NEVER got a higher percentage than he polled. If he was polling at 47%, he never got more than 47% of the vote and often he got less. In other words, undecideds never broke for Obama, and the "Wilder Effect" was a reality in the polling.

Buck up, people. This is a concerted effort to discourage us, but it's not going to work.

He wasn't behind in the first place! Polls are meaningless. Anyone can say 'yes' on a poll and never vote. Polling demographics are intentionally skewed by liberal media machines and by ground level workers to favor their democrat candidate.

Reagan won by a landslide over Carter...do you really believe that all was decided in 2 weeks? We truly DO NOT KNOW until the votes are counted. This year, even that may not be enough to know the result.

I will admit it's not going to be a blowout for McCain...
