Sen. Barack Obama, with a donation of nearly $1 million
Read the article and the donor link. He did no such thing. An adviser in his office got Obama donors to make donations. Obama himself did not donate. Yes, its sleazy, yes its a scandal, but BS headlines like this that can be easily disproven only hurt the cause.

"He did no such thing."
Of course he didn't. Bambi doesn't use his own money. It's easier to get other folks to shell out the green stuff. The question is, what did Bambi promise those people who donated? They didn't give out of the kindness of their heart.

It's WingNut Doily, after all. What else would you expect?

The headline is correct. I agree that the sentence should be revised to "Senator Barack Obama's supporters, "Friends of Barack Obama", with a donation of nearly $1 million....."
It's semantics. Lippert was speaking for Obama, and at his direction. There would have been no donation to cousin Odinga had Obama not orchestrated it, and then backed it up with interferring in a foreign election by stumping for this communist on our taxpayer dime.

Obama apparently sought to establish a level of separation between himself and Odinga in their communications regarding the Kenyan election, noting further in the e-mail, using Lippert as a go-between "will be for my own security now and in future."
Using cutouts, just like any skilled crime boss.
