I’ve heard differing percentages, too. Was being generous in giving 75% of our fellow citizens credi for being “patriotic” enough to pay taxes. But, you’re probably right and 40% not paying is closer to right.
I agree with you. McCain seems be running to lose so he can get along with his friends in the Senate.
I must differ with the Dole analogy: Dole quit the Senate to run for Pres, so after Election Day 1996, we was retired from politics. That’s not the case with McCain, he intends to be a gift that keeps on giving.

I have been giving to McCain and the GOP separately but maybe I need to give to this 527 group. McCain needs to run this ad or any other ad that Luntz says is the best.
