Permit for McCain Cell Tower Still Active
Washington Post ^ | October 16, 2008 | James V. Grimaldi

Verizon Wireless's permit to build a permanent cellular telephone tower on John and Cindy McCain's Arizona ranch is still in effect, Yavapai County officials said today, as the wireless company keeps its options open for the previously shelved plans for the site.

In a statement, Verizon's spokesman Jeffrey Nelson labeled as "wrong" a story about the cell phone coverage at the ranch in Thursday's Post. McCain campaign spokesman Brian Rogers told the Associated Press, "This story is a disgrace. The McCains went through the process that is available to anybody who subscribes to one of these cell phone companies to inquire about getting service."

The Verizon statement said, "Verizon received a request [for cell service on the ranch] from Mrs. McCain, but declined. Subsequent to that, the Secret Service made a legitimate request for a temporary tower for its work and Verizon complied as is required by our contract with the agency."

But interviews and public records filed in the Yavapai development services offices indicate a different timeline. In early 2007, Cindy McCain's staff first requested coverage...

They’ll investigate a cell tower, but 0bama’s background is off limits.

Love it.

Meanwhile they leave umreported that Obama campaigns for a radical politician whose supporters slaughtered Kenyan Christians and raped children.

Got it!

So many things to look into, Ayres, Wright, Odinga, birth certificate, Democrat vote fraud, freedie, fannie, Obama communist leanins -— I got it, McCain’s cell tower.

Getting the feeling the drive by media has outlived their usefulness.

I hope Verizon does put up another cell tower. The cell service in Sedona is horrible.
Wouldn't the SS need reliable cell service for security reasons as its their job to guard the candidates.

agreed
we have a man running for president
he has some of his family saying he was born in Kenya and they saw him born there
he has gone to court to stop anyone seeing his birth certificate
he went to Kenya to give support on tax money to a killer and radical named odinga
then he says we wants to give more social programmes and spread the wealth
then there is other radicals not mentioned and certainly not investigated by the likes of the media except CNN on Ayers to their credit

but no wait
stop the news folks
we have breaking news

mccain and a phone tower and Joe the plumber has no license though he doesn’t need one either

the media have been making total fools of themselves
I wish a rich conservative could take over and do a news station thus we can block and boycott the other obama mouthpieces

Of course, that's why they asked for the temporary tower.

That and they didn't want to listen to the hundreds of "reporters" bitching and moaning about not having cell coverage.

Cell towers are strategically located. Trust me...Not everyone wants one on their property.

People don't always like to see things in the horizon. Kennedy and the windmills is a good example.
