WASHINGTON (AP) When it comes to the public's image of John McCain, it's as if somebody dialed the electricity down in the past month. For Barack Obama, the juice is still flowing.
People's regard for the Republican presidential nominee has deteriorated across-the-board since September, an Associated Press-Yahoo! News poll showed Friday, with McCain losing ground in how favorably he's seen and in a long list of personal qualities voters seek in White House contenders.
Perceptions of Obama have improved or remained steady. Beyond views of the two rivals' character traits, McCain faces another problem Obama is more trusted on the economy, the contest's commanding issue, including a 15-percentage-point edge for better grasping how the raging financial crisis is affecting people.

This article is a thinly disguised self-congratulation of the press for successfully smearing McCain thus far. What a bunch of lying, traitorous, unethical dirtbags.
Q: What do you call 100 drivebys at the bottom of the ocean?
A: A good start!
What BS
I’m voting for Sarah!
This explains perfectly why John McCain continues to gain in every single national poll.
Hell, imagine where he would be if he was just more popular...
The AP is making a full court press for Obama in these last weeks. Their assault on “Joe the plumber” is unbelievable. It shows that to go against Obama could result in grave consequences (just ask Joe...).
Somebody’s got the ol’ tingle up the leg going for Obama...
Is that why McCain has gained with Independents?
These guys just make this up as they go along!
I saw this on yahoo’s main page but didn’t read it. Who did they poll, themselves? I think they may have a rude awakening on election day.
It’s a pretty broad incrimination of the gullibility of the American public, as well.
The more this type of stuff is put out there, the more lazy libs might stay home on election day. Not a problem.
I was in my local gun shop yesterday afternoon. You know, the one with the big McCain/Palin poster in the window and the picture of Sarah leaning over a dead caribou.
They are selling guns, ammo, and accessories like there was no tomorrow. The owner said my gun purchase was the ninth that day. The other guy working there said, “Everybody’s looking to buy ‘Obama Insurance.’”
.....Of course, as I say that, I don’t really believe it, either. This whole story stinks of the rotten propaganda the media has been shoving down our throats for months on end.
“I think they may have a rude awakening on election day.”
I think so too, BUT the press is sure doing every little thing it can to get NObama in. A whole lot depends on current events over the next couple of weeks.
It’s crazy that the entire future of the country hangs in the balance - no election in a very long time has had this much riding on it.
McCain/Palin ‘08!
If more people would watch the two performances here, maybe we would stand a better chance.

McCain was great. (Last night’s Al Smith Dinner)
Those firearms may be needed within hours of the closing of the polls if Obama loses and rioting breaks out in cities across the country.
[Setting up us to be called cheaters, racists, etc., etc., in the case of a McCain/Palin win.]
I’d rather live in a racist country than a socialist one.
Desperate Desperate Desperate.
I was laughing at that this morning.
I saw it, too, and started to post it, but then I figured it’s just bull crap so why bother. LOL
