Obama Couldn't Be Cleared
The American Spectator ^ | 10.17.08 | George H. Wittman

Posted on 10/17/2008 5:37:59 AM PDT by vietvet67

The lowest-ranking enlisted persons in the Armed Forces of the United States who are expected to handle sensitive matters in the scores of jobs involving classified equipment or written material must be investigated before obtaining their security clearance. Could Barack Obama gain such a clearance?

To begin, the clearance applicant would have to complete a detailed personal history form that includes, if necessary, government access to all health and education files. This is the starting point of all security investigations. Top Secret clearance involves a field investigation rather than the Secret version that is usually limited to a "name check" that is a basic police and public information file review. For the TS clearance an investigator will visit the home neighborhoods and work place sites of the applicant in search of supportive and/or derogatory references.

If the clearance is extended further into the handling of information of such importance that it requires a compartmented distribution, the field and document investigation is pursued with considerable vigor over a lengthy period of time. Nuclear and other sensitive technical or political matters fall into this category.

In all cases, whether on the lower level or up to the most sensitive intelligence, the background of the applicant's personal and business involvement forms the nucleus of the initial phase of the investigation. The people with whom the applicant associates lead the investigator to personal connections and matters relative to the individual's character, beliefs and past acts appropriate to matters of security.

Eligibility for clearance at all levels is directly influenced by the people with whom one associates. Yes, who your friends are and have been does count -- a great deal. This is true, of course, in many types of police investigations where suspicion is adequate reason for further inquiry.

“he’ll need that birth certificate”

Yep, even a non-photoshopped “record” of birth won't hack it!

A Record of Birth is NOT the same thing as a Birth Certificate. EG: my son has a Record of American Birth Abroad issued by the State Department, because we were overseas on government orders, but his Birth Certificate is German!
I believe a civilian American citizen can record the the overseas birth of her child and thereby get citizenship status for the child. However, the Birth Certificate will always be from wherever the child was born. Although a citizen, the child would not be a natural-born citizen, because the parents’ reason for being abroad was personal.

I suspect that's what is going on with Obama.
If the One is elected;
Regardless of previous court decisions about what constitutes “natural born”; I fully expect that a court will rule that birth by an American citizen anywhere will be the new standard.
That, in itself, would be proper. However, changing the rules just so that an ineligible person becomes eligible is CRIMINAL. But Democrats like to change the rules after the game has started (ie Florida 2000)!

It’s gotten worse. My TS/SCI took over 2 years, and there weren’t any glitches. Nice for BO that he’ll just skip all that pesky background investigation, since he would be the chief executive.

I enlisted in the Army in 1958. As a recent refugee from behind the Iron Curtain, I couldn't get the lowest “confidential” clearance. Stationed in Germany patrolling
the East-West border required at least the confidential
level of clearance, so there was little opportunity for advancement. After 5 years I quit the Army and upon my
return to stateside, finally became a citizen.

It does disqualify him. Still, the RNC, the President, Congress, the DNC, the DoD, MEDIA, many others, remain surprisingly silent on this issue.

I have been for months now that he couldn't pass a low level clearance. That NO ONE is bring this up is just breathtakingly irresponsible.

Legally it doesn't matter that the Arab-American Barak Hussein Obama does not meet security parameters.

Elected officials do not need to meet security clearance protocols.

There election is the Will of the People

A friend of mine sent this to me:

Barack Obama is not even legally a black American. He only has one black great-great-grandmother on his father’s side while the other 7 were Arab.
That makes him 50% white, 43.75% Arab, and 6.25% black. 12.5% is the minimum required to legally claim any racial status in America.
Obama would qualify as the first Arab-American president, NOT the first black president.

Tell you friend that his nitpicking over racial purity makes him seem like a Nazi. Who friggin’ cares?

As to his evidence, I say hogwash. Have you seen a picture of his father? Nobody with vision in both eyes can say that he's not a very BLACK AFRICAN!!!

Why did you take offense? My comments weren't directed at you! All I was pointing out is : who cares about his race or the technicalities of his genetic makeup?

That's sort of like “straining at nats, while swallowing a camel!”

His Marxism and demonstrated disdain of American values are the real issues!

Obama would not be cleared to play little league without a valid raised seal birth certificate.

I believe that if you check you will find that "as a race" Arab's are considered "White" - - - if everyone finds this understanding of mine to be factual - - - - then BHO is the latest in a line of "white" (male at that) presidents of the United States.

Open for corrections of fact - not receptive to stupid flames of ignorance.
