Missouri voter sues over McCain campaign “hate speech”

KANSAS CITY - Missouri voter Mary Kay Green has had enough.

The supporter of Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama filed a lawsuit this week over what she claims is dangerous “hate speech” coming from the rival campaign of Republican presidential nominee John McCain.

Green, a 66-year-old grandmother and “semi-retired” civil rights attorney, filed the lawsuit in U.S. District Court in Kansas City this week accusing McCain, his running mate Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and their campaign manager Rick Davis of “intentionally, recklessly and irresponsibly” portraying Obama “as un-American, a terrorist by association, and ‘not like us,’ a non-white individual.”

Palin, Green alleges in her lawsuit, has at her rallies used false statements to work supporters “into a frenzy causing them to make death threats” against Obama.

“filed a lawsuit this week over what she claims is dangerous “hate speech” coming from the rival campaign of Republican presidential nominee John McCain.”

This woman is certifiable. How many times has Bush been called Hitler, and any and all Republicans Nazis? It’s just standard leftist babble that rolls off their tongues effortlessly. If we start listing all the instances of those on the left and right engaging in some name calling, the leftists are going to score a decisive victory.

Hate speech and specious lawsuits are only the beginning. I listened to Hannity's 1 hour of Obama supporters and I am convinced this country has passed a point. These people weren't your average minorities and nor were they all from the same social group (at least by the way they spoke). The common theme among the 'elites' who think they are educated is plain all out socialism to outright communism with a little marxist tinge to boot. The common theme to the 'average americans' was plain old greed and a deep sense of entitlement and desire to rob the rich for themselves.

I just don't see how we can recover from this. These people are still breeding, teaching and breathing.

Well, they are ceasing to breed that much, be it that their careers and disdain for family life prompt a low birth rate, not to mention that lack of morality when it comes to abortion. The teaching is a bit of a concern, especially when someone like Ayers can be considered to be a preeminent professor of education. I mean, seriously, that has to be a joke.

What's going to kill these new Marxists is that their system cannot provide the wealth, opportunity, and products and services to win over America. I mean, it's easy to be a socialist when you can make all the money you want, enjoy all the cool new gadgets, clothes, clubs, etc...but it's quite another when the state is taking your money and you're forced to eat government cheese and surf on a machine with green on black graphics only. OK, maybe that's in the past, but still, life under Marxist governments sucks.

I think, if the Dems do take the White House and increase their gains in Congress, that they will suffer massive congressional losses in 2010 and you won't be able to find anyone who voted for Obama by then. They won't be able to control themselves. Hell, the Congress is already talking about spending $300 billion more right after this election.

Some may vote for Obama because they fall for his centrist sounding rhetoric today. But once they realize they've been had the response will be swift and deadly. They will relearn the less of William Jefferson Clinton's first two years in office when he sought to socialize our health care industry. I only pray that the GOP can put together an appropriate movement to take back the Congress in 2010. It's only a matter of time until Congress has a 0% approval rating.

Mary Kay Green, JD, is an attorney who — from her senior year in law school — has handled civil rights cases. She has been licensed to practice law in Nebraska since September 13, 1977, and for most of her years, practiced family law and personal injury law as well. Ms. Green was the principal attorney in Crystal Chambers v. Omaha Girls Club et al. featured in this book. She served on the Omaha City Council from June 1977 through May 1981.

In addition to this book, Ms. Green has written a screenplay, They Let Mothers in Law School?, about her three years in law school, and is currently working on a book entitled Sundance and Cherokee Moon: A Book about Robert Redford, Movies, Miracles, and Mania. And she is writing a screenplay Crystal Chambers a New Rosa Parks.

Ms. Green is the never-married mother of twin daughters Mary Kay and Elizabeth; and she is grandmother of Michael, and Ms. Phelan. She graduated from Creighton University with a BA and from Creighton University Law School. She now resides in Kansas City, Missouri, to be near her children and grandchildren.

Anybody can sue anybody at any time--if they can find a lawyer to file the case, that is.

Exactly. The only difference between this and any other frivilous suit is that Reuters is running a story around it. The news story is premised on the fact that some woman has had enough of Republican hate speech, and is now suing to stop it. Between the lawsuit and the story of the lawsuit, it is implied that the Republican campaign is racist, and there is no way to rebut that conclusion, because only one side of the story is being told.

It will only get worse. George Bush had eight years to do anything at all about the democrats, but he chose to appease them, and McCain will be only marginally different. I see him as redeeming himself for his weaknesses by leaving us with Sarah Palin. I can almost forgive him now.

However, ACORN is a bigger threat to elections than political money ever was, and there needs to be a major effort to reforming the conduct of our elections, or we will be in real big trouble 20 years from now. That's if there still is a USA. One good way to make sure that we never have to pay the trillions upon trillions that Social Security will cost is to dissolve the USA.

Just heard on FNC that Secret Service has determined that the “Kill him!!” alleged reference to Ubama during a Palin rally (already documented that Palin wasn’t even in the bldg at the supposed time this happened) NEVER HAPPENED!!

They’ve reviewed videotapes and audio and FNC said they hear someone shouting “TELL HIM!!”, but not “KILL HIM!!” *anywhere* during the rally.

LOL. Facts like these won’t change liberaloonies’ minds—they keep on thinking of new ways to look stupid. Getting pretty good at it too! :-)

Women of Courage is about the constitutional rights of illegitimate children and their parents, about the right to give birth and raise your own children regardless of race and marital status. It was inspired by Crystal Chambers and her 1986 lawsuit against the Omaha Girls Club for pregnancy and race discrimination.
In addition to this book, Ms. Green has written a screenplay, They Let Mothers in Law School?, about her three years in law school, and is currently working on a book entitled Sundance and Cherokee Moon: A Book about Robert Redford, Movies, Miracles, and Mania. My first reaction in hearing that Tim Russert had died of a heart attack was:

“We will have to cancel the election.”

But sharing his Catholic belief in heaven, I can envision him up in heaven with John Kennedy, Robert Kennedy, Martin Luther King and all the great leaders of America, cheering us all on as we elect the next President.

Like them, Tim Russert loved America, and he loved good government.

She's a Catholic, fighting about the right to give birth...

and she supports 0bomba?
