Sarkozy to press Bush to relaunch international financial system [Mark of the Beast--3 Easy Steps]

President George W. Bush offered to host a summit on the global financial crisis and met Saturday with French President Nicolas Sarkozy, who was expected to press the US leader for a bold relaunching of the international financial system. "I look forward to hosting this meeting in the near future ... so we can insure that this crisis does not happen again," Bush said after he welcomed Sarkozy and European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso here for talks on the economic crisis.

Just before the scheduled three-hour meeting, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said he backed the idea of a summit by early December at the latest.

"We are in this crisis together," Bush said, detailing steps that have been taken to bolster lending institutions around the world. "These are historic measures suited to our system which I believe will work," Bush said.

Ban has proposed holding talks at the UN secretariat in New York, saying earlier in Quebec City, Canada that would "lend universal legitimacy to this endeavor and demonstrate a collective will to face this serious global challenge."

The secretary general met with Sarkozy at the 12th Francophonie summit in Quebec City, where the French president pressed for a meeting of the Group of Eight (G8) industrialized nations, and others, to mull an overhaul of the global financial system.

A senior Bush administration official said in turn that Bush would prefer to host the talks himself in the United States, where the global crisis started with a collapse of the US subprime mortgage market. The US official did not specify a date for the gathering.

So far, the Americans have been seemed rather less impassioned on systemic reform than Sarkozy, whose country currently holds the rotating EU presidency, and other European nations.

Many of them would like a real and full overhaul, a sort of new Bretton Woods, as the accords dating from 1944 that govern international finance are called.

Bush on Friday acknowledged the need to ensure that the credit system, threatening in some measure economies around the globe, not be jolted again. His administration overcame some hesitation and agreed to the idea of an international summit including the Group of Eight wealthy industrialized nations as well as major emerging economies.

But Bush has barely begun the long route of US systemic reform that in any case will fall upon his successor in the White House in January 2009.

The Europeans are interested in some kind of global market oversight, something Bush is lukewarm on.

Bush told Sarkozy and Barroso in Maryland that "as we make the regulatory and institutional changes necessary to avoid a repeat of this crisis, it is essential that we preserve the foundations of democratic capitalism -- the commitment to free markets, free enterprise and free trade.

"We must resist the dangerous temptation of economic isolationism and continue the policies of open markets that have lifted standards of living and held millions of people escape poverty around the world," Bush said.

"This is a trying time for all our nations," Bush acknowledged. He added: "I am confident we'll overcome the challenges we face."

Sarkozy stressed it was urgent that "we must stabilize the marketplace as swiftly as possible by coming up with answers. Once calm has been restored, we must avoid at all costs that those who have led us to where we are today should be allowed to do so once again.

"We believe in the capacity and the -- the ability of the American people to come up with the answers the world is waiting for, is expecting. Because this sort of capitalism is a betrayal of the capitalism we believe in," the French president said.

And We the People will have less say in what they decide to do than we did a few weeks ago when $700B was guarenteed by the taxpayer, under protest.

I like George W. but if you’ll think back it was George H. that talked about the “New World Order”. I don’t understand it, I just read it and pass it along.

In a speech by George H. after the first Gulf war...

“Now, we can see a new world coming into view. A world in which there is the very real prospect of a new world order. In the words of Winston Churchill, a “world order” in which “the principles of justice and fair play ... protect the weak against the strong ...” A world where the United Nations, freed from cold war stalemate, is poised to fulfil the historic vision of its founders. A world in which freedom and respect for human rights find a home among all nations.”

“Even the new world order cannot guarantee an era of perpetual peace. But enduring peace must be our mission ...”

WTF happened to Bush?

What were you expecting? A conservative?

Bush is a globalist who gives not a whit for the Constitution or conservativism, except when it suits him.

Bush is doing his part to see biblical prophesy fulfilled, though at times he seems hard pressed to make things happen, almost to the point of obession.

I’d like to see your reference for that.

I thought the same thing... this is about as close as I can get.

“By the way, “Nicolas” means “conqueror of the people.” The surname Sarkozy, moreover, refers to someone from Sárköz, a region of Hungary. According to various linguistic theories, the Hungarians inherited their non-Indo-European language from the Turks or possibly even the Sumerians. It is possibly through this route that “Sarkozy” traces its ultimate origin to ancient Assyria, where “sar” means prince and “kusi,” refers to an inhabitant of the ancient land of Kush, probably Ethiopia. Kush, or Cush, in turn, means “dark.” Hence, Sarkozy literally means “Prince of Darkness,” a term that the president’s detractors actually applied to him in his role of tough-talking Interior Minister during the November 2005 riots that rocked France. In conclusion, then, Nicolas Sarkozy boasts a name that is a very suitable for Antichrist.”

".... we must AVOID AT ALL COSTS that those who have led us to where we are today should be allowed to do so once again." >>>>>>>>>>>>>>

My decoder ring says the translation is:

Make sure that the United States Nationalist Socialist Party under Obama does not ruin us by making our free economies subject to affirmative action financing of "social action" Hope and Change Spread the Wealth"

Will the French take care of Nazobamster?

This is getting interesting. October surprise por Monsiuer "Hobama?" at pour toutes les petits gens de Chicago?

I watched in real time as all three went to Camp David today. Sarkozy was 'translated' as saying,..."to create a New Financial World Order",....and a "New World Legal System". Now, the translator may have taken liberties, but that is what was said. To show you my level of paranoia, I took notes as they spoke, so I could relay exactly what they said to my brother.

Have you seen Bush give is little daily statements? To me he looks very gaunt, and extremely depressed, and he looks like he has been crying. Next time he comes out, take a look and see what you think.

Thanks for nothing, "free traders". Those 'worthless pieces of paper' we traded for cheap, poisonous third world junk have been used to destroy the only free country on earth, and bring about a new order where the third world is in command and the United States government is on the threshold of outright communism.

'Role reversal' at IMF

In another sign of the old order passing, countries that once came cap in hand to economic forums are now looked upon as a crucial part of the solution to the global crisis – and providers of financial first aid.

"Emerging markets are now the world's creditors," Merrill Lynch global economist Alex Patelis told Reuters, referring to rising entities such as China, India, Russia and Brazil. "They've accumulated trillions of dollars in savings in the past couple of years for a rainy day, and guess what, the rainy day is here."

And he rated them among the few countries able to pump badly needed money into global credit markets: "a complete role reversal."

Don’t have a reference other than a lexicon and in general the web

First half is “SAR” meaning “Prince” This is in Assyrian and in Hebrew.

KOSI is supposed to derive from the word Kush, one of Noah’s grandson’s. Kush settled in Ethiopia and can mean Ethiopians or can mean blackness or darkness. Thus SAR+KOS(h)I = Prince of Darkness

Many of them would like a real and full overhaul, a sort of new Bretton Woods, as the accords dating from 1944 that govern international finance are called.

Bretton Woods was flawed, abused by the US, and failed disastrously - it led to the stagflation of the 1970's. But politicians love to repeat their mistakes. If they have a successful witch hunt on Wall Street though, they should be able to do anything they want.

No, not this site particularly, but that in fact is what an Obama Presidency would mean, which by the way I am not in favor of.

Heard a lot of clap trap at the local business hang out last week end about AMericans need to buy American cars.

Oh boy, not this crap again. Most AMerican business people really do not get it.

Ya can't put crap on a sandwich and call it peanut butter & jelly.
