This endorsement....yawn. It’s gonna sway 1000’s of voters I am sure./sarc One black guy supporting another, man rare as a snowstorm in Buffalo. I think Powell just got his ticket to all the rubber chcicken dinner revoked when it comes to Republican events. Good riddance Powelll, we appreciate your service but like John Glenn...Hero to Zero.
Co'Lenin' Powell supports the Oba'Marxist'. Snooze....
I thought also this would be his ultimate passive aggressive “gotcha!” moment.
He’s on Fox - what an A$$ !!! Spinning about the war... washing his hands of the mistakes in the war.
He’s watched Obama and he has the “style and substance” to do the job.
WHAT SUBSTANCE? I’ll agree he has more than enough style to be an effective persuasive leader....so do most cult leaders by the way...but what substance?
I’m amazed how “fair weathered fan-like” Mr. Powell is. He is a band wagon politico type. Let’s wait to see who leads the polls two weeks out and then support that guy who’s leading.
Basically the reason he’s supporting Obama is the rest of the world wants him elected. That’s all nice and dandy...but some of the parts of the world who loves him HATES America....
And the Ayers thing...ARE YOU KIDDING ME POWELL?? This isn’t important? So having a “casual” relationship with Osama bin laden is okay? Oh in 30 years it will be okay? The only difference between Ayers and Obama or McVeigh is he wasn’t all that effective in his goals. He didn’t do enough by his own account. This thinking is the pre 9-11 mentality that caused us to accept these guys at “Oh they aren’t really that much of a threat”....
Read the educational plans of Ayers Mr. Powell...or are you a socialist anyway who believes THIS is the substance you crave?
well, just goes to show that melanin is thicker than water.
Powell saying in news conference that McCain’s negativity troubled him.
The people dont want to hear about ayers???? is he kidding???? hes crazy!!!

If Obama wins how long will it take before a reparations bill is put before the Congress?
I thought it was coming to an end — a successful one at that.... Thanks to McCain’s surge.
“...the average person will say, Well, hes black, so thats why hes supporting Obama.
He’s always been a liberal in my mind for a long time, 10 years or more.
Bush wheeled and dealed with him in 2000 to get him in, now he “gets out.”
“Its time to either do the merciful thing & put an end to the republican party - or start a whole new party from scratch. A party of true conservatives, the American party”
I cannot see anything wrong with that idea.
Schwartzkopf has endorsed McCain according to Wikipedia.... no one seems to notice.
“Well at least this election is chasing all the frauds out from the shadows and into the bright sun.”
I pray God that these leftists, 0bama, his supporters and minions become more and more and more of who they are. May we see them exactly as they are. In broad daylight.
I ask in Crist Jesus’ name.
Powell giving a presser going right down the list of Obama’s talking points. He has been in the bag for Obama for some time.
What I can’t figure out is why? He’s probably too old and too tainted by past associations to have a role in any Obama administration. Why not just keep quiet? What is Powell trying to achieve here?
Shame on him.
I am SO GLAD he stayed true to his colors, so to speak.
He must really want a job in BO's marxist regime should that pukehead win.
Powell: “Taxes are for the common good”
Yep...I guess it’s Hussein/Powell in 08
“Taxes are for the common good.” “The connection between Ayers is irrelevant” Powell is a socialist and a fool.
A GOOD man would have called off the prosecution of Libby by admitting it was his SNAGGLE-TOOTHED AIDE, Dick Armitrage, that gave Novak the info on Plame.
He did NOT do such a good job.
Colin Powell is twice the likeable idiot that George W ever was.
Unleash the 527 Reverand Wright ads now!!!!
I really wish he would! I believe Bush has done a lot of damage to the party - he's done a lot of good for the country, but he's been a disappointment to me in the last 4 years as president. I'm not quite sure what to think of him, but overall, I do not have a favorable opinion of him or his father. They are liberals in conservative clothing, I think.
But, if he would PLEASE endorse Obama - it would do a lot to redeem himself in my eyes. It would KILL the liberals!!!
if typo is the worse the you do after news like this then you are ok. Im about to cuss and i ain’t a cusser and im getting ready for church. I got to get to the house of God before i totally lose my religion.
Mr. Powell, You have just confirmed that you are a racist -choosing a candidate based on the color of his/her skin, and nothing more than an Afirmative Action clown yourself. You “endorse” a neo-Marxist amateur fool for president - this clearly goes against everything you allegedly “stood” for. What this now does, though, is to open up the Pandora’s box of us “whiteys” voting for McCain/Palin besed soley on their race. Oh, one last thing, McCain/Palin campaign, Jerry Wright can now be used - just remember what Geraldine Ferraro said “The only reason Obama is where he is is because he’s black.” Go get ‘em! McCain/Palin 2008!
President Bush - not a racist .... Powell is.
But why talk of a new party two weeks before the election it seems to me that’s designed to split Republicans and allow Obama to win.
After this election the question of RINOism can be dealt with more effectively and appropriately.
The primaries in 2010 should be interesting and here in PA I see that its time for Arlen Specter to leave.
What a sad fellow. He gave virtually all the talking points of the Obama campaign. Then he is asked if he is a “Republican”, he said yes. That’s all you need to hear. Yes, you are a Republican.....but you never were a conservative.
Fox is really unloading on Powell right now...
“And the Ayers thing...ARE YOU KIDDING ME POWELL?? This isnt important? So having a casual relationship with Osama bin laden is okay? Oh in 30 years it will be okay?”
Excellent point. I’m going to send send Powell a copy of this link. How will he sleep at night if we get attacked again because radicals will think they have a pass.
You endorse a neo-Marxist amateur fool for president
“So Powell finally makes a mistake.”
I don’t think it’s a mistake.
If Obama wins Powell gets credit from the new administration and is better positioned to build his business and his cocktail party circuit status.
If Obama loses the Dems will be reeling with remorse for trying to win with a far-left candidate like Obama and will start looking for moderates to run for President in four years. Who is more moderate than the black Army general that everyone thought was a Republican?
This guy’s inner career computer has never let him down. He’s the greatest career military ticket-puncher slash bureaucrat slash Washington insider of our time.
No Powell does appear to want a job on the “winning” team.
He’s not doing this out of the goodness of his heart.
He does not view himself as too old to wield power.
I’m sickened by this though. On what basis does this guy who supported McCain in 2007 now turn his back on him?
Based on what record of the socialist/marxist? What?
What does Powell know?
He held up pictures of harmless industrial vehicles and told the world they were mobile WMD factories.
Another thing too, if He had endorced McCain he wouldn't have his mug on TV everyday for the next few weeks. He must have a new book coming out soon.
He gave his entire life to the country. I think that is something. Don’t you?
Everyone who votes for obamination has the blood of the innocent on their hands.
I blame you for the most ignorant comment of the day.
Colin Powell is a nobody unless you are over 50 years old. And like Bill Clinton, he just looks old now. Yesterday’s news. Aging rock star. He is a media darling not the darling of main street. And like Oprah, he just confirmed what ‘team’ he plays for. They are African Americans first. Up-town Americans second. Main Street Americans - never.
