Republican John McCain will continue his battle for Colorado next week as both he and running mate Sarah Palin are scheduled for separate trips to the state.
McCain, running neck and neck with rival Barack Obama in Colorado, is scheduled to hit the state Oct. 24, his campaign said Thursday. No other details were available. Palin, the Alaska governor who has been packing in crowds across the country, will be in Colorado Springs, Loveland and Grand Junction on Monday.
In the Springs, Palin's rally begins at 8 a.m. at Security Service Field, home of the Colorado Springs Sky Sox. The Loveland event is scheduled for noon at the Budweiser Events Center. Palin is scheduled to be at Suplizio Field at Lincoln Park in Grand Junction at 6 p.m. All events are open to the public, but tickets are required and can be picked up at area McCain campaign offices. I thought it was over? /sarc
My son and his fiancee will be thrilled with this news.
“My son and his fiancee will be thrilled with this news.”
Be sure to spread the word to all you know in Colorado! If your son is a Freeper, tell him to post the info on the Colordo State FR Board. Getting the news out is so important for folks to know in enough advance time to make plans to attend the rallies! :)
Great news!
CO ping
New poll just out shows them dead even @ 44... or 48? Don’t recall, but they were tied. That’s an improvement for McCain to be sure.
Some good news in the state polls recently.
@44
Yes sir...lot's of good new out there. That's why all we're hearing about is Powell's endorsement. They're trying to hide the fact that the race has tightened and McCain has momentum!
Next week should be very interesting.
Hi prairie! Thanks for the ping! I have been making calls from the McCain-Palin headquarters here in Denver. I watch as I make my calls, and people are coming in and the free tickets to the rallies are going like hotcakes. Something else I have observed on the goings on in the front of the room while I am making calls at the phones whenever I get some free time for the past 10 days ......There are a large number of “Another Democrat for McCain” yard signs being snapped up and going out the door. We ran out this afternoon. :))
Bwahahaaaaa!
McCain yard signs outnumber Ding Dong's 10-1 in our area, which are solid blue counties in TX.
I gave our extra yard sign to a neighbor who wanted one, and had another neighbor ask where we got the sign. Then, still another neighbor saw the sign and stopped in to give us a McCain/Palin button and said "we have to get her (Palin) elected.
