He held out his hand to her and asked, “How are you, ma’am?” but she declined to shake his hand.

"Resistance to his candidacy." As in, not automatically accepting Obama for illogical or hateful reasons. No bias here, huh? How about, "Obama fails to convince voters he is not a communist and racist." That would be the truthful caption. The idea that anyone who does not like Obama is "resisting" is laugahble and shows the depth and breadth of the press' stupidity and cupidity.
I would have loved it if instead of saying that, she would have calmly asked why Obama is attacking Joe the Plumber.

She still should not have refused to shake his hand. These people behaved no better than the hostile onlookers at the McCain rally in NYC. What matters is who we vote for. Until then we can at least be civil.

I had a discussion with an Obama supporter last Friday. He was not deterred by the word “socialist”. He actually thought it was a good thing. Obama, however socialist he may be does not want the media reporting that he is because it will turn off certain voters. Some, however, obviously like it.

I have a feeling that there will be very few if any more of these unscripted meetings with regular hard-working Americans. 0bama just can’t take the chance of another Joe the Plumber moment.
But in comparison, this is no where near the level of hate, vitriol and bigotry as displayed by the other side. No supporters of Obama at this restaurant had racial slurs hurled at them, I did by protesters however at McCain's ABQ rally.

McCain really should publicly answer Powell’s statement regarding the Muslim issue. After all, Powell brought it up. Is Obama a Muslim, Black Liberationist, Morman, Seventh Day Adventist, what? Americans deserve an answer before November 4th.
I for one am sick of the superior smugness of the blacks and the liberals who are looking down their noses at anyone who doesn't kiss the feet of the "cool tool messiah" and I can guarantee you that I'm not the only one.

Well, this IS still a free country, for now anyway, and a lot of people here lack the finesse of a phony. I’d rather have a crude patriot than a polished politician watching my back any time.

To bad Obama chose to go to Cape Fear, not Fayetteville, NC ... home of the 82nd Airborne, Fort Bragg ... just a hop, skip and a jump away. Obama could have at least stopped to say hello to a few of the troops. I was at Bragg last weekend to visit my son.
