the father sold out for another chance to be in D.C. power circles.

Alzheimers or simple greed are the only two explanations for a military leader endorsing a man with absolutely no military experience to be Commander-In-Chief.

Powell is now a pariah to both sides -- neither one can trust him. He's all done.

Maybe he was given a choice to endorse or be prosecuted after the Inauguration for the War Crimes the Dems want to go after the Bush Administration on.

I think you're right. He was motivated by two things, IMHO: race and abortion (he's known to be a great fan of the latter). Talk about a mess of pottage.

Real conservatives have known of Colin’s RINO-esque practices and policies for years. What happened is absolutely no surprise. It’s not greed; Powell is, so to speak, showing his true colors. Unfortunately, we’ve always known what they are.

It is beyond Obama or Clinton's lack of service that makes them unqualified, Bill Clinton wrote in a letter to officials that he LOATHED the military. Barack Obama has run with antiAmerican activists going back to his college days (he talked of it in his book).

He has said he will work to reduce our military strength (including dismantling our weapons development programs and getting away from government space programs).

A commander in chief may be hesitant to lead this nation in war but ultimately the power is there and anyone who is UNWILLING to carry forth that duty is unfit to serve as President.
