The leader of the national anti-Obama movement, legendary Chicago Internet columnist and Obama author Andy Martin, will hold a Honolulu news conference today, October 20, 2008 to announce he has asked the Hawai’i Supreme Court to entertain an emergency writ expediting the release of Senator Barack Obama’s secret birth records.
A copy of the Petition will be posted on Martin’s blogs later today after it is docketed by the Supreme Court. The Hawai’i Supreme Court petition supplements and expands on a lawsuit filed Friday, October 18th in the Circuit Court of Hawai’i.
Martin is due back in New York on Friday, October 24th for network television interviews.

Well, Obama is headed to Hawaii, so this guy will get his payola.

Indonesian Passport was used when he traveled as a young man?
Anything but a naturalized citizenship would be very hard to get for him.
Obama is taking two days off from the campaign in the last 15 days to visit his sick grandmother in Hawaii. A grandmother whom he rarely visits.
There are law suits filed now in four states claiming that Obama does not meet the constitutional test for office (natural born citizen) because he was actually born in Kenya, as his Kenyan grandmother has proclaimed, when she said she attended his birth.
His mother was not old enough and did not live in the US long enough before his birth for him to have been a citizen, if he was born outside the US.
Obama’s visit coincides with that of an investigative reporter who is in Hawaii to ask the Hawaii supreme court for an emergency order opening the state’s birth records for Obama.
Obama has refused to ask Hawaii to open the records, and is fighting the law suits which have been filed, in hopes of delaying the facts until after the election. The birth certificate posted on their web site two months ago, was shown to be a false copy of the actual record, by the omission of the pro-Obama dailykos.com folks who posted it.
Now I know most of your list will proclaim this to be a right-wing wacko theory, but it would be interesting to see what they say about the timing of the visit.
Secondly, someone might comment on why an innocent person would act this way.
Lastly, don’t we have the right to know if the candidates meet the basic requirements as spelled out in the constitution?

Maybe he’ll have her sign an affidavit on her death bed that she was present at his birth.....then die so it can’t be contested.

If you are running for president, and only ONE person requested proof that you are a natural born citizen, I think that there should be NO problem to accommodate them. It is not an unreasonable request.
And we have O rushing to Hawaii to visit his grandmother.

There is NO such federal department or requirement that candidates submit documents. Maybe there should be!
But prior to this election cycle its never been an issue.
We have never had such an “unknown” run before and so many “voters” who are fine with that !

so she can’t be that sick can she other wise they would have kept her in

If he visited her in the hospital, any access to her apartment would have been suspect. I bet he is after documents that he is afraid will get out when she dies. He’s after paper.

it would be good if, were there a sense that this is a real issue, we'd get some non-maroon to pursue it . . .
