Barack Obama's campaign has come up with a humorous comeback to Joe the plumber.
At every campaign stop, Republican rival John McCain mentions Joe Wurzelbacher, who complained to Obama that his tax cut proposal would penalize small businesses.
In a new video today, Al the shoe salesman computes the tax cut he would get under the two candidates, using the Obama camp's trusty tax calculator.
Al is Al Bundy (played by actor Ed O'Neill), the aggrieved husband in the comedy hit "Married with Children," which aired during the late 1980s and 1990s.
Al makes $20,000 a year and has kids. "I saved $1,000" under Obama's plan, he figures out. But he would save nothing under McCain's.

The video ends with Al chanting, "Obama! Obama!"

Can't say for sure but we do know he is a fool.
Al Bundy is a flippin moron. I’ll take Joe the Plumber any day.
Ed O’neill , who portrays Al Bundy, is a socialist.
The character sure isn’t.
If Al Bundy collected wellfare instead of selling shoes, he would make more money and receive taxes instead of paying them.
PS Al Bundy is a fictional character. As is the Democrats' robocaller "Joe the plumber". They jumped the shark on this one.
Joe = Hard worker seeking the American dream
Al = Loser, complacent in a crappy job
Wow. That’s a really dumb response. Why can’t they find a regular Joe of their own to stick up for Barack?
BUMP. Run the numbers for how much Peggy could take in with 2 (or 3, remember the “cute” kid they added in one of the later seasons) kids and an absent father.
So the Democrat Party is the party of losers? Who’d a thought it(!)
Al doesn’t pay income taxes in the first place.
NO, Al made $20,000 a year 15 years ago. And his kids are grown up and presumably moved out unless he's a wimp. I would say that Al is making about $35,000 per year as a shoe salesman now, unless he's working part-time in which case he probably either has two jobs or is incredibly stupid.
Judging from my review of "Married with Children" episodes, Al only plays stupid on TV.
Americans are sure going to want to identify themselves with Al Bundy alright! /S
Sorry, Obambi, but the character in the TV programme had a loathing for lying politicians and lazy bureaucrats. Al’s only vote was to oppose a tax increase on beer.
So to counter-react Joe the Plumber, a real American with real dreams and aspirations, Obama can’t find one real American and has to find a Hollywood actor who plays one who is in a dead end job with no dreams or aspirations on TV...and a selfish one to boot, as he does not ask where the $1,000 will come from (from a productive American).
And Obama thinks he’s so smart! I think their ad can be used by McCain to show the condesention of Obama and how he sees his Constituents (as people who are incapable of upward mobility, who need to be “taken care of” by Obama!).
He wouldn’t actually save it, it would be money from the wealth redistribution.
oh, snap!!! that rocks...
This is Obama’s arrogant elitism. His answer to Joe is a fictional buffoon. Probably because Al Bundy is his reference point for the average Joe. This is the way he sees people like Joe.

This is pretty GD lame...essentially, Al is willing to sell his soul to the devil for $83.33 a month...
Seriously, socialism for $83.33 a month...No Thanks!
I’ll stick with my man John McCain and Sarah Palin — I may not have $83.33 a month with them — but, at least I know my family will be safe, because I know for fact John McCain will not gut the Military to pay for silly arse social welfare programs.
Really, obie, that is the best your “crack” team can come up with — weak man — get the s@#$ out of here.
No, you were given an extra $1,000 that you never earned. We call that "Socialism."
The lesson here is never ask Obama an intelligent question.
What clueless moron thought up this ad? So are they saying that Obama’s taxcuts are fictional like the character that gets them or what?
How appropriate. They have a fictional person (Al Bundy) promoting Obama’s fictional tax cuts.
I'm reminded of the episode of Married With Children where Al's favorite TV show, Psycho Dad is canceled, and the lead actor of Psycho Dad announces his new show, Lefkoitz, Teachers Aid. Al Bundy is now reduced to being a Teachers Aid.
R.I.P. Al. We all knew it would end badly. We hoped it wouldn't end this badly, a shill for BO. Why couldn't it have been something with more dignity, chirrosis of the liver, or drowning in the septic tank?
I can’t believe how blatant their elitist mentality is. So apparently the hardworking Joe the Plumbers of this world can’t figure out for themselves what’s better: punishing or rewarding productivity.
Obviously the underlying prejudice of the the Left here is that to their mind all white working-class voters are lazy drunken slobs who hate their wives and raise hornball sons and hooker daughters through their neglect and selfishness. As such they desperately need the socialized redistribution of the productive class’ earnings down to their cess-pool of sloth; not to mention school mandated safe sex education for their daughters and masturbation lessons for their sons.
Please, please tell me that Kelly Bundy is not a socialist, too. (And mind the rules).
LOL! I remember that episode! Married With Children is one of my all-time favorites.
Obama’s argument is telling. What kind of country have we become when our choice for president depends on what kinds of government benefits we get—at the expense of someone else? From social welfare to corporate welfare to government union workers, these trough feeders are an inferior breed of American.
The gravy train is nearly out of gas, and it will soon be time for us all to do for ourselves. Wishful thinking?
We've seen this plan before from Obama's fellow Democrat Bill Clinton.
Bill promised a middle class tax cut, then, biting his quivering lower lip, Bill announced that he had worked harder for a tax cut than he had ever worked before, but he couldn't do it.
Instead of a middle class tax cut, Bill and the Democrats handed us the biggest tax increase in US history and, oh by the way, it was retroactive too.
Is that the tax cut Obama has planned for us... Yeah, I thought so.
I don’t know her politics, last I read was that she had breast cancer.
