I agree, they should tell us so we can be prepared. But here is something else that is fishy... Why would they tell Powell at all? He is no longer a member of Bush's cabinet. Unless they told him because he is going to be part of Obama's administration. That's something he has been denying.

Also why would he go on national television an say it? Rush just said why Biden did it... because he's got a big mouth. But Powell a Four Star General and Fmr. Secretary of State knows how to keep his mouth shut and keep a secret.I have no idea why he did it. Doesn't make sense.

I have no particular link for this, I just goggled January 21 2009 to see what would come up (if anything). Plenty of articles/blogs on this:

On January 21st, 2009 the documentary "Torturing Democracy" will air on PBS. It details "how the government set aside the rule of law" in its pursuit of harsh interrogations of suspected terrorists. PBS won't run it nationally until January 21, 2009. Scott Horton suspects that may be because PBS is afraid of political retaliation.

I wonder if this will have any bearing on the January 21/22 remarks powell made. I can see how this sort of "documentary" can inflame many factions - including the left vs right in this country if Obama decides he should prosecute it somehow. The implications are astounding.
