The entire read of the Horowitz column is quite revealing. Tis was less than a week after the attacks, and the proverbial smoke had not cleared: Horowitz speaks of 10,000 dead. How quickly we forget it took weeks to determine the actual death count was 3,000. That is how chaotic it was.

It is also a testament to Horowitz's focus. While New York and Arlington were burning, he was reading the New York Times article, and had the coherence to make a statement which needed to be made, and in fact was very pertinent to the times.

This article should be mandatory reading.

Both Ayers and Dohrn are children of privilege who spent their lives trying to tear down the establishment that not only raised them but provided them cushy positions in their later years.

I grew up in New York City and went to high school with kids like that. SDS was organized but a few blocks from where I lived, and I knew some of the people (I was in college at that point) who were among the first members. And then there were the Columbia riots...ALL of the kids involved in these were children of privilege.

Ayers grew up filthy rich....his father was an achiever......so little Ayers didn't have to worry about where his money was coming from...who would pay for college ,etc....

he didn't have to worry about his retirement account...

none of the worries the rest of us have faced....

we couldn't be radicals and not work and not obey the law....we needed the income and the security of being an honest citizen....

it takes no special courage to run around like a toddler, knocking down everything because you know mommy and daddy are going to fix it for you....

daddy did one thing wrong, other than not wear a condomn, in that he, being a successful conservative man left his wealth to a "foundation" to do good....but what the foundation has done is destroy all the values that he had......

just like Heinz.....left his fortune to a nut job and her window dressing who's life goal is to shred to pieces anything that Heinz approved of......
