Police departments in cities across the country are beefing up their ranks for Election Day, preparing for possible civil unrest and riots after the historic presidential contest.
Public safety officials said in interviews with The Hill that the election, which will end with either the nation’s first black president or its first female vice president, demanded a stronger police presence.
Some worry that if Barack Obama loses and there is suspicion of foul play in the election, violence could ensue in cities with large black populations. Others based the need for enhanced patrols on past riots in urban areas (following professional sports events) and also on Internet rumors.

I think this was posted earlier but it’s good to emphasize it again.
If Obamaniac loses, a lot of black voters will wanna pin the blame on “Whitey” and good ol’ racism.
Many of them (especially the less educated ones) will think the election was “stolen” from them. And that, of course, will considerably lessen their inhibition from setting fires to cars and businesses.
Riots and civil unrest are just good business for them.

I live in a tiny town so I don’t think there will be much in the way of rioting here.
Since Hussein was advisor to Odinga when HE lost an election and resorted to rioting; it’s a foregone conclusion that his thugs, rabble and riff-raff will riot!

I have been saying the same thing for quite some time.
Nonetheless, this should give us all pause to realize that we have allowed the political elites to divide us so thoroughly that we are expecting trouble and riots REGARDLESS who wins!!!
Presidential elections used to be about the fact that we all spoke and AMERICA won. Now it’s about which political party or which party’s racist candidate wins.

You’d think people would have learned by now that all riots do is ruin the rioters neighborhoods and chases off all the merchants. So once it’s all over they end up having a much longer trip to the food store indefinately.
The BIG DIFFERENCE is that there WILL BE RESPONSES by both police military-style swat teams and the NG could also be called in to suppress any rioting, unlike in Kenya.

"We be disenfranchised!!!" ...with Sharpton, Jackson, and the other usual suspects fanning the flames. Expect the same old rhetoric, claiming intimidation at polling places, roadblocks in the 'hood, diebold voting machine fixes, etc. But this time the alleged "disenfrachised" voters' emotions will be far more invested in the outcome.
Even James Carville himself, a devoted lib predicted rioting if Obama losses the election.
Plus, given our 2nd amendment rights, the violence will be limited to those areas where there are bans on the owning of firearms....
So do I, first thing you see when you drive into town is the shotgun range... we have no LEO,& crime is REALLY low in our area... wonder why that is.. LOL

I remember the non-response during the Rodney King LA riots. I won’t hold my breath hoping for a stronger response this time.

There is a big difference, the non response was because of fear by the LAPD over the aquitial of the cops in the Rodney King beating trial. This time, in a post-9/11 world violence of that nature will not be tolerated. Plus police swat teams are trained like more in the military style. Plus there is the NG backup factor.

We’ve got a shooting range outside of town as well. We’re pretty well surrounded by state land. We do have an inexplicably large number of police officers (5) but the township covers a fairly wide area. Our last mueder was almost 30 years ago.
Now I know why there is a MLB team by the name of the “Texas Rangers”, because of the legendary law enforcement folks who enforced the law in TX. Thanks for the history lesson.
I agree anyone remember when the Raiders won and in Oakland they found the need to cause a riot.

So they riot. So what? It works as sort of a communith initiative slum clearance program when they do.
Did some internet searching and found out that there is even a Hall of Fame and Museum that honors the Texas Rangers which are still around to this day. Have bookmarked the website, which is located in Waco, TX.

That is why I will vote early in the morning of Election Day and be home at night on Election Day night.
This is why I am thankful I do not live in a city.
Also will keep my home locked down that night.
