Campaign '08: Like many others, we took it as another gaffe when Joe Biden said he expected Barack Obama to be "tested" shortly after taking office. But when he repeated it, we wondered: What's he trying to tell us?
"Mark my words," Biden said in San Francisco last Saturday. "With the next, first six months of this administration, if we win, they're going to — we're going to face a major international challenge. Because they're going to want to test him, just like they did young John Kennedy. They're going to want to test him."
Then, the very next day in Seattle, he said: "Mark my words. It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy . . . Watch, we're gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the metttle of this guy."
And just what would a "generated crisis" be? Could it be as former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton said Wednesday — that "leaders around the world see Obama as soft, untested and weak, and they will react accordingly?"

Imagine, Bin Laden & Achmedinajad if ever questioned by President Obama about their terrorist activities, or developing nuclear weapons program? What will President Obama’s response be? In very simple terms, the effects of Obama’s PAST ASSOCIATION will be reflected in ways that American people do not anticipate.
The most important American argument of moral superiority will loose its value and meaning as Obama’s past will always be thrown in our faces by the enemy. This will drive Obama and his team crazy and :
To show his might President Obama will take a harder position on every foreign policy negotiation including increasing the defense budget which he has opposed.
To prove that he is a stronger President, Obama will be more eager to put American military in harms ways.
Knowing Iran’s President, he is going to be a thorn on Obama’s side.
Foreign policy decisions towards other countries such as Russia that do business with Iran will always be tainted.
Military will see a sharp downward turn in its numbers.
The lack of commitment towards national defense by American people in general will be quite obvious.
Obama and Democrats will have no choice but to “Start the draft.
Oil prices will go up and world economies will again take a dive.
In fact, I disagree with Biden who just warned us, “Watch, we’re going to have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”
Obama’s past will always be dangled in front of his face to shame him by the foreign leaders in every matter including matters that ordinarily will never be considered
international crisis.”
And so American people, though it would be nice to have an African American become the President of the United States, please let us not do that at the expense of American security.
Let us wait to choose the right African American candidate.
the truth is these guys are starting to deal with what is actually going to happen when/if obama gets in place. and it’s going to be EXACTLY what happened to bush. he’s trying to inoculate himself.
China. They hold our debt and won’t be pleased when obama tries to bloat the deficit to astronomic proportions.
Putin or Iran could make a move. Putin takes more of Georgia or Iran attack Israel through Hezbollah.

Read this, keeping in mind what Joe Biden believes to be serious threat, simply because of Obama’s inexperience.
Biden believes that our Country is going to be tested, to see if Obama has the mettle. American citizens will be somehow in danger.
How can the press/tv ignore this?????
IF. . . . Biden doesn’t admit he was wrong in saying this and do a retraction. And if there is any possibility of him saying it AGAIN, then I predict Biden will be off the ticket in a week (for whatever reason).
If it’s Iran/Israel, just remember who Obama said he’d stand with if the political winds turned ugly.

This is the really odd part of the quote, to me. What does that mean? If he doesn't know what the incident will be, how can he know it will not be immediately apparent that they're right? Very weird, but also disturbing.
Ronald Reagan was 'tested' on inauguration day 1981 (U.S. hostages in Iran released), although that was more from Iran's fear of the new president. Reagan was once again 'tested' in the Lebanon bombing of U.S. Marine barracks early in his administration, of which the U.S. turned tail and retreated out of Lebanon.
Bill Clinton was 'tested' early in his administration with the first WTC bombing, and again many times afterwards ...
W Bush was 'tested', of course, on 9/11
In an interesting twist, there were whisperings that Clinton was somewhat regretful that 9/11 didn't happen on his watch, as he longed to play the *hero* in a national emergency ... I can't verify or cite that, but we've all heard those whisperings ....
In a twist to that above twist, it seems more like Biden was actually 'hoping' for such an occurrence early in an Obama administration, so in his mind it wasn't actually a "gaffe" per-se, but a hope?
Notice he cited JFK, an icon in the Democrat party, as a comparison ...
I think he’s begging the weak lefty supporters to stand with them and defend obama’s VERY weak defense to whatever happens. My personal opinion is they got wind in the WH briefing that Iran or Israel are close to going to war and obummer is not going to defend Israel. Biden is asking their supporters to stick up for them when they make that decision.
I think Rush was right when he said that Biden’s blowhard tendencies got the best of him. He couldn’t resist puffing himself up about how important he is that he got a classified briefing.

How many of our soldiers, sailors, airmen, or marines will die so that Obama can be tested and proven to have a spine of steel??? Will Obama even care about their sacrifice?
I say lets elect McCain and avoid the testing of the New President. Instead our enemies will know better than to attack us if McCain is President.
