According to Rove, the McCain strategy is to take Pennsylvania — which would make up for combined losses in New Mexico, Nevada and Colorado.

Perhaps an overkill or oversaturation, that we really have the state in the bag?

This may simply be paring outlays back to the levels they intended all along.

Look behind the curtain.

I'm having a hard time believing that we are pulling out of Colorado. The state is GOP by nature. I'm not disputing the dollars spent data, I'm simply saying there is something else going on here.

I don't believe we're conceding Colorado.

The Republicans are out of money.

Obama has them outfunded by at least 10:1.

If you REALLY wan the Republicans to continue advertising in these venues, call the State Republican Party of these states and CONTRIBUTE.

$10, $10, whatever you can.

It adds up.

From what I expect and have heard “cutting” is not “pulling out”. The issue of money is a great one at least here in NC. Chuck schumer gives Hagan $10 million a month to defeat Dole.

Obama has $605 million to McCain’s $84 million. It is unreasonable to expect him to keep up unless people contribute more. Just like families the campaign has to put money where needed the most.

Some people don’t uderstand that the calls made at GOP headquarters around the nation help decide where the most undecided are and to focus on areas with the most potential to get votes.

I ahve heard that there are false rumors being floated about pulling out of Battleground states including Colorado. It is simply disinformation designed to diminish morale.

The McCain-Palin ticket doesn't have much money left. They need to be very careful in their advertising choices. Sen John Ensign is the head of the NRSC and he says the GOP isn't abandoning Colorado. Both the NRSC and the US Chamber of Commerce is getting ready for new ad buys.

“The Colorado race has closed up, and that’s the reason we’re going to stay there. We’re going to stay there up until the end,” Ensign told an audience at a National Press Club breakfast Tuesday morning." LINK

"Contrary to an article in Tuesday's Denver Post, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce is not pulling out of Colorado, a spokesman said Wednesday."
U.S. Chamber spokesman J.P. Fielder said the organization plans to make a new ad buy before Election Day."

I believe McCain was spent a large amount of money in Colorado last week compared to other states and he is simply bring Colorado spending down to normal rates.

Does anybody have a breakdown of money spent in each state for the last few weeks.

You know, this is about the 5th or 6th state in the last few days that the GOP is supposed to have pulled money out of. That’s too many too close to the election to be coincidence. Now either McCain and the Republicans are broke, which means their really in trouble. Or these stories are bullsh*t made to make the GOP look to be in dire straights. I’m tending towards the later explanation.
