Jay-Z Hits McCain/Palin [Real shock - READ COMMENTS!]
MTV News ^ | 10.23.08 | MTV

Jay-Z clearly appreciated AM's presence, calling on the audience to "make some noise for DJ AM" three separate times throughout the concert. Jay also gave a shout-out to Barker and the people who died in the crash, saying, "We're gonna party it up for them tonight."

But not all the shout-outs were so celebratory. Without naming names, Jay dedicated "99 Problems" to John McCain and a certain "homegirl," whom he described as "the one who says 'You betcha.' "

"I'm gonna get in trouble for this," Jay laughed onstage, "but f--- it, this is freedom of speech."

That’s what this guy doesn’t understand. His freedom of speech or whatever he calls freedom of speech ain’t gonna be there for him as well as everyone else with Obama.

When his useful uselessness is over; he’s over. You don’t bargain with a dictator. I would think this guy of all people would understand that.

No, ’Hova...your boy has ninety-nine problems and the b***h is one. In fact, you might even go as far to say that she’s The One. (Joe Biden, of course, being...what else?...Number Two.)

What is it about the 40 to 60 year old group that makes them gravitate to Obama? I’m in that group, and there’s no way that I go with Obama

The boomers are known as being a self absorbed demographic.

What’s a Jay Z?

The proper question would be: Who be a Jay Z? The proper answer is: who cares?

self-absorbed

In that case, hit them with Reagan's line. "You can spend your own money better than the government can."

Why should you give your money to Barney Frank to spend?

“His freedom of speech or whatever he calls freedom of speech ain’t gonna be there for him as well as everyone else with Obama.”

He will have freedom of speech because he supports Obama. Obama only goes after those that say anything against him.

That surprises me. What is it about the 40 to 60 year old group that makes them gravitate to Obama?

America has aborted 50 million babies since the Boomer generation became adults. Both McCain and Palin are anti-abortion and I have a feeling that there is a sense that they feel that the presence of McCain and Palin would make those who have had abortions or those who have participated in abortions, or encouraged their children to have abortions feel condemmed.

Those 50 million babies were not murdered in a vacuum. They were murdered by people who vote.

See #26.

1. Appeal to their self interest.

2. Remind that forgiveness is already purchased and available to all who receive it.

I have always been amazed at how many people are violently repelled by that very message. Especially when they learn that in order to be forgiven for your sins, you have to acknowledge that you actually committed one.

The person who has convinced himself that he is not a sinner is the person for whom there is no hope of salvation.

***convinced himself he is not a sinner****

That would be everyone....

Unless God supernaturally enlightens them.

Not by Jay-Z, who obviously doesn't see the irony endorsing a man who would only encouraging subsidizing the 'hood rather than giving them incentives to perform and excel, but by the comments.

You're giving him WAY too much credit.

In order to seek forgiveness, one has to first acknowledge one's guilt and shame. It means having to change one's behavior (i.e., repent), and even one's thought process. It is, in a word, ego-destroying.

If God didn't first approach and woo us, no one would ever repent.

Shalom.

How much of Jay-Z's money does the playa spread around?

Every photo and video and "cribs" clip I see of a hip hopper is them "living large" in some house living high on the hog off the profits and advances their labels have given them.

They come up from the "streets" (or at least they all claim it in their bios even when some of them are LYING and MAKING UP police records).

How much of their own money do they give back to the community? How much of their own personal wealth do they give?

I know that Evander Hollyfield does. He's given a lot to the church. But what of Jay-Z who is endorsing a Marxist? What's he done and why does he need the tax man to make him do what he sees as "right"?

What do you mean "what has he done" ?! He's shown inner-city children that selling crack rock on the corner and rhyming words together over a synthesized beat is how you make it out of the ghetto. Now that's giving back
