Ok, but I think there has been some flight from 2004. The party numbers for us aren’t as strong. Can you replug those numbers for 2006?

Doesn’t matter. No way 2006 was even close to 20 pt Dem advantage.

Turnout in 2006 was essentially the same percentage breakdown as it was in 2004. Contrary to common belief, people did not stay home - they voted for “change.”

The party numbers are surprising in the face of two unpopular wars and an unpopular Republican President. When you consider that and a weak economy, Obama should own this election. Instead he's LOSING in early voting in my state of Colorado!

I work in a mixed neighborhood and pool everyone.All the blacks except for 2 back woman were for him.All the Hillary girls went to Sarah except for 4 .The men are for McCain except for one and he says all his friends are Dem racists.Hillary would have won here but O bama will lose.This is from a rednecked,racist,clinging to my guns and religion bitter person:)

Whenever I look at any of these polls, I always look at 2006 numbers as well as 2004 numbers and consider the 2006 numbers to be more like what we’ll see this time.

In most cases, the 2006 numbers are about the same as the 2004 numbers. Certainly no huge jumps like these polls would have you believe. The idea is crazy.
