New Allegations in Mahoney Sex Scandal
Document: Rep. Allegedly Used Mistress as "Tease" for Big Donors

Current and former members of the staff of Congressman Tim Mahoney (D-Fla) say he has yet to come completely clean about his multiple affairs, abusive behavior and alleged ethical lapses.

But a document obtained by ABC News reveals new allegations of threatening behavior and sexual harassment toward a female staffer, that go far beyond Mahoney's public confession, including claims that he urged one of his mistresses to serve as a "tease" for big donors.
The former Congressional staff member, Patricia Allen, was paid $121,000 by Mahoney after she was fired and threatened to sue.
The settlement was reached after Allen hired a lawyer who sent the Congressman a "demand" letter, listing specific examples of Mahoney's alleged "gross misconduct" and "stalking" including:
"a) Calling Allen late in the evenings and demanding "phone sex;"
b) Demanding that Allen answer his calls or face termination;
c) Demanding that Allen attend fundraisers and "tease c-ck" to bring in more donations from the male members of the public;
d) Demanding that Allen engage in sexual conduct with another woman for his enjoyment."
Current and former staffers told ABC News the allegations contained in the "demand letter" sent to Mahoney were backed up by tape recordings of phone calls between the Congressman and Allen.

They better. If they can’t get this seat, we are seriously doomed. I mean seriously who is the Republican running for this seat? Why is this person not on the TV daily bashing him?
Actually you’d be surprised at the overage by local media.
Mahoney was supposed to attend a debate with his Republican rival yesterday and at the last minute he canceled. Said he wouldn’t attend if there was t.v. cameras.
Anyway, there are several papers and t.v. stations in the district. Each has prominatly run front page stories or lead their broadcasts with news of his slimy affairs.
Course the National media have treated the story like it has the plague.
Rooney is from the family that use to own the Pittsburg Steelers. They also own the Palm beach Kennel Club which is how they have ties to West Palm.
He seems like a class act and has gained a large lead as a result of Mahoneys infidelities. Rooney has stayed away from the mess pledging simply to honor his marriage vows and sticking to his campaign theme of less govt is better govt.
Why get in to the mud when you can stay positive and show folks what you are and are not.
Rooney will wallk away with the election.
As long as Rooney wins that is good. I will trust his way of campaigning.
On the editorial pages of the Fort Pierce, Port St. Lucie, Stuart tribune today are two different write ups.
One says “house race a tough call, then goes on to list Mahoneys transgressions and accomplishments as a congress critter. Then it says what a wonderful critter he has been for the area and asks if his transgressions warrent dumping his sorry butt.
The other and article by staff writer Rich Campbell leads with Mahoney should step down and focus on family.
This paper is on the north side of the district.
I refuse to read the Palm Beach compost, just stupid liberal.
