A strong-arm robbery involving candy bars led to the arrest of two men early Wednesday in Cathedral City.
Brothers Luis Garcia, 22, and Salvadore Garcia III, 31, went to the AM-PM at 68500 Ramon Road to buy beer when Luis Garcia stole candy bars, according to Cathedral City police.
When stopped by the clerk, Luis Garcia fought, constituting a strong-arm robbery, police said. Salvadore Garcia helped his brother during the fight, police said.
According to police, the two fled in a dark GMC pickup truck. The clerk was able to provide police with a license plate number, which they traced to an address on Avenida La Paz.
Officers found the truck parked in the driveway, where the suspects were drinking beer, police said. The brothers were arrested.
The stolen candy bars were recovered near the apartment, police said, as was the clerk's shoe, which was taken during the incident.
Busch will resign, leaving Michelob in charge. It's not known what Bud will do.
