The wealthy can and should give more to help less fortunate people. This is just common sense.
When was the last time you were given a job by a less fortunate person. As a wealthy person why should I give my money to someone who is less fortunate than I? Let them work hard for their wealth just as I had to work for mine. I am so sick of hearing gimmie gimmie you dont need all that money blah blah blah. I say get your own wealth the old fashioned way you EARN it.

No not everyone agrees with the system of socialism. There are those of us that believe you are entitled to what you work for. There is no incentive in a socialist society. Why should I go to school, work my rear off, sacrifice the good things in life in order to save my money and then finally at age 40 I am able to INVEST in a business, provide jobs for other people, all of which puts MY MONEY at RISK, and if the business doesn’t work out I lose everything I have worked my entire life for, but if it goes well, then I am to give a portion of my profits to someone else who has done nothing to earn it. YOU ARE OUT OF YOUR MIND.
If that is the way it is, I am not going to sacrifice and save my money. I am going to instead buy the nicer house my family wanted but didn’t get because we were saving for our future and my husband is going to have the nice truck he really wanted etc.
Then when everyone takes on that attitude, which they will, lots of people are going to be out of work because there are no employers and you will all be working for the government at a job they choose for you, at a wage they choose to pay (which won’t be much) and you will have no avenue to change it.

Here's where part of that line is drawn today:
If your taxable income is less than $31k, you are 50% of taxpayers, you pay 13% of your taxable income as tax and you provide 3% of the total tax burden.
If your taxable income is more than $365k, you are 1% of taxpayers, you pay 21% of your taxable income as tax and you provide 40% of the total tax burden.
We ALREADY have a very progressive tax system that takes from the wealthy and gives to the poor. But that was not my point.
My point was that given this already existing form of socialism in our current government, why don't we make it completely fair by also giving that rich top 1% who pulls 40% of the tax load, a 40% share of the voting rights?
REPRESENTATION EQUIVALENT TO TAXATION!
Something about the word Socialist doesn’t seem to carry much fear in the electorate. Marxist has more oomph.
In fact, we all agree with this basic principle of socialism, the only argument is over HOW MUCH we should take from the wealthy and give to the poor.
No, we don’t all agree with this. The correct answer is “0”
But, there are alot of people who vote because of very shallow reasons based on the way people sound, look, the way they do their hair, and not based on real issues.
You know the type- there’s alot of them too - and maybe, just maybe this news will open their eyes. All we can do is keep trying - that reality will finally sink in before the election.
