time 42: Barrack discusses whether if we would have a healthier political process if we had mandatory voting, where there this is a fine (like Austrailia), but it is unlikely to work in this country since people may prefer to sit home and watch the ‘xfl’ (?). 2nd clip/post #3.

"I, Barrack Hussein Obama... do solemnly swear... to uphold the constitution of the United States... as I see fit to interpret it and revise it"...

Fact of the matter is he cannot take an oath in support of an agreement (constitution, contract) he has publicly declared is fundamentally flawed.

"Fundamentally flawed" contracts are routinely declared invalid by the courts.

Obama, being a lawyer, supposedly a brilliant one, knows this. Therefore he has declared the constitution null and void even prior to taking office.

3rd clip: people vote for a person of the same race,

historically, people who are in power there main criteria for drawing districs is staying in power.

It is difficult when the Supreme Court was looking at majority/minority districts, concerning staying compact etc., the tradition of map line drawing was full of holes. So, we don’t have a clear baseline on how to draw districts.

housing segregation patterns, the lack of diversity in voting districts is created by housing patterns. Alot is determined by housing segregation.

When you get a district with even plurality by race, often time in those districts you will often have a white candidate represent those districts. So, therefore, while it would be nice to think it would equal competition for representation, it is not.

Although later he said that it would not hold up with the voting right act because there is strong evidence that show that whites are willing to vote for a minority candidate.

Great finds HollyB ... do you have a time index for this in the audio stream?

Admin Moderator — can we update this story? Or should HollyB create a new thread with her findings which are separate from this one?

Wow, Megyn Kelly is ripping the Obama spokesmouth a new one over their tactics of attacking the messenger (in this case, Fox News) instead of addressing the very words that came out of their own candidate's mouth! She got really fed up with his campaign blaming Fox, Joe the Plumber, McCain, etc. for Obama's stinking socialist mouth. Of course, he tries to play the "this is a distraction" card. Notice how they always trot out that line when they have no defense?

“Couldn’t risk you missing out on such a big scoop.”

After I saw this thread, I’m hearing the talk show hosts talk about this, which is GREAT!
