Doubtful Zero can use this as a campaign issue. Sarah was outfront demanding Stevens come clean.

on stevens being found guilty...wow they are touchy at the markets...it is rather unbelievable though that it was up over 200 early this afternoon and then slowly made its way back down to just over the start only to drop like a rock in the last 1/2 hour once again...

“Palin get to appoint his replacement.:

Doesn’t matter much. This is an election year for Ted. Palin’s pick would only be there for a couple months. This probably hands the seat to the Democrats.

Interesting.

Backup plan for Gov. Palin.

If McCain loses the election and Stevens wins the Senate.

Stevens could then resign and Gov. Palin could appoint herself to the Senate.

Just something to think about.

All the media needed to revive the “culture of corruption” narrative...just in time for the election.

Of course, Sarah Palin gets no credit for fighting corruption in Alaska. NONE.

WASHINGTON — Jurors in Sen. Ted Stevens’ corruption trial passed a note with “a potential verdict” to a federal judge Monday, a courthouse spokesman said.

Snort. There’s some logical analysis. I thought the whackjob “B” face girl in Pittsbourgh ended the election.

Ted Stevens will not impact anything going into 4 November.

We're working to roll back decades of governmental largesse, to root out political fraud and corruption, and to champion causes which further conservatism in America
If we have to start from scratch to get good guys in then so be it.

Sen. Stevens is a slimey politician and needed to go a long time ago!

At this late date, I assume he remains on the ballot. Hopefully he wins, resigns, and is replaced by a pick from VP-Elect Palin!

Much as I like Sarah, that really would not be right at all. Even if a Democrat were to do it someday, you just can't appoint yourself to a Senate seat.

I’ve been a supporter of the market and business all my life, from the first when my dad owned a grocery store. I’ve either been in business or run a business all my adult life. But this market mess made me sell everything and have some cash to sit on/live on in my retirement. If Obama wins, the DOW will drop to under 5,000. It won’t be until 2010, when an enraged public decimates the Dem congress, until it will stop. By then there will be over 100 million Americans destitute. The damage to the country may be irreversable. I am not joking when I say I am glad I live near plenty of fresh water, in the country, am trained and well armed, and have my cash to tide me through. I will, like many other people, simply fade out of the known economy and do what I have to do. I don’t know five people my age who work for a corporation and get regular W-2 pay. We are survivors.
