AP ^ | Monday, October 27, 2008

Posted on 10/27/2008 2:26:05 PM PDT by MinorityRepublican

THE POLL: Virginia Commonwealth University, presidential race in Virginia among likely voters (13 electoral votes).

THE NUMBERS: Barack Obama 51 percent, John McCain 40 percent.

OF INTEREST: Obama's strongest regions are northern Virginia and Hampton Roads, the latter dominated by military interests where McCain, a former Navy pilot, should be strong. Obama dominated among respondents who regarded the economy and health care as the most important issues. McCain was strong among people whose foremost concern was terrorism.

THE DETAILS: Conducted by telephone Oct. 20-22 by VCU's Center for Public Policy of 817 likely voters. The margin of sampling error plus or minus 4 percentage points.

___

THE POLL: Washington Post, presidential race in Virginia among likely voters.

THE NUMBERS: Barack Obama 52 percent, John McCain 44 percent.

OF INTEREST: A month ago, the same poll showed that 52 percent felt McCain was best suited to handle the campaign against terrorism, 10 points better than Obama. Now, the poll shows that Obama has drawn almost even with McCain on the terrorism issue.

THE DETAILS: Conducted by telephone Oct. 22-25 among 784 likely voters. The margin of sampling error plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.

I was just looking at that from RCP: Bush won VA in 2000 and 2004 by 8 points each time. Now someone further to the left than Gore or Kerry is up by 8? I just can't believe it.

“just another story to suppress the vote..obama has it in the bag so just stay home..”

This could work on the potential Obama voters as well as McCain voters.

When the final vote count is over and the Obama supporters realize that they have lost....they will continue to believe that the polls were right. In all states and races.

They will then claim (once again) that the elections were stolen by the right.

I truly believe those that are predicting rioting after the elections.....

Actually, I think Bush won Virginia by 9 points. It was 54-45, if I recall correctly. And in the mid-term election of 2006, with Jim Webb running as a conservative, with George Allen being torn to shreds over “macaca”, and with the GOP voters disheartened and unenthusiastic, Webb only won by a fraction of a point.

If you can stomach the thought- Imagine that Obama was elected.
The highest approval rating that he would EVER see would be about 51-52%.. And it’s downhill from election day.
There is a solid base of about 48% that strongly disaprove of the man and that will not change. As he sits, that disaproval number will grow. Next we start to tie Obama, Pelosi and Reid together for 2010 elections. We need a group called “Code Yellow” that appears at all speeches appearances etc.. and wears yellow- the color of cowards and hold up yellow signs that say LIAR, MARXIST, RACIST
behind these characters at every opportunity.

Polls are garbage alot of the times. University polls are even worse. Why? Because most of the time you have college students asking the questions. And if believe the hype, most college students support Obama.

I took a poll of all my acquaintances and have J up 144 to 44 over O.

So after factoring in all the illegals, dead people and cartoon characters that will be voting I predict a win for J 144 to 93.

+ or - 8 points.

Yea...Obama is basically like a brand new car...never driven—no scratches, dents, or blemishes...the minute he drives off the lot (is elected president) he depreciates in value....the “change” element is toast at that point because with a complete democrat control of Washington ANY problems will be theirs and theirs alone.

Poll demonstration of Saul Alinski, Rules for Radicals, Rule 1:

RULE 1: “Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have.”

Here, demoralize enemy and try to get “bandwagon” voters by pretending to be in the lead. The Obama camp follows the “Rule for Radicals” book the the letter.

Langley Air Force Base, Norfolk Naval Base, Naval Air Station Oceana, Fort Eustis, Fort Story, Fort Monroe.

Think they'll vote Obama? Plenty of absentee ballots come into Virginia from our best & brightest deployed to sea or elsewhere...if they're not disenfranchised.

The polls show that Lord Obama has won. So just stop this stupid and outdated technicality of an Election. Osama/bama is now our FUERHER UBER BAMA, er president of America and the entire world.

What is the Republican/Democrat split assumed by the poll? The MSM has been using a lot of polls where the R/D split is nowhere close to reality. I could make Obama win an Alaska poll if I assumed that 90% of Alaskans are Democrats.
