I hope members of the military whoe are inclined to vote for Obama change their minds after hearing Barney Frank talk about a 25% cut in military spending. The Dems will gut the military like they did under Jimmy Carter. Go McCain.

It’s really sad that people who are voting for Obama really believe his loyality lies with them. Not true. It is a myth. Just because they are loyal to him doesn’t mean he is loyal to them. Unfortutunately; this is a scam being played over and over throughout history.

Once the election is over; most of these people are no longer relevant. They will be just like everyone else including the opposition in Obama’s eyes.

If they don’t believe, all they have to do is read about Mao, Pol Pot, Stalin Castro and anyone that has ever lived in an opressed society. People like Obama don’t serve. They control. If you value your real freedom; think about not voting for Obama. Slavery will become a real reality.

Hey, you’re the pro. I’m not saying these polls are right - I hope not. But I don’t think it’s the sample size but probably the sample weighting.

I'm between Lynchburg & Danville. There seems to be a very obvious lack of signs around here. All the houses that had Gore, Kerry, Webb have NO signs at all this year.

This is Jerry Falwell territory with Liberty University. I'm pretty sure it will vote McCain/Palin. We're 5th & 6th Districts with Goode & Goodlatte...both against the bailout both times and were with the gang in the House to demand the up or down vote on energy when the lights were out. Good men both.

289 (D) 250 (R) 320 (I)

so really it is more like:

609 (D) 250 (R)

So we are actually talking a 24% turnaround based on the polls? Puh-lease.

Now, the internal of this poll actually shows Obama getting 95% of the black vote. This is only the second of six polls I have seen with racial breakdowns where Obama equals or exceeds Kerry's 2004 89% number.

Weighting has a lot to do with the size which is what I just said. The smaller the sample with multiple factors the less confidence you have with the weighting. These samples are within the 10-15% margin of error and not a very accurate as they are low precision.

Pray that they are not.

Bush won Colorado by 7 in 2004. However in 2006, Ritter (D) won with 55 percent despite being embroiled in an illegal alien controversy. Polling in Colorado shows a strong rat trend. I think Colorado may have gone left coast. I hope that I am wrong but the 2006 result suggests otherwise. The rats can do no wrong. No matter how clearly rat fingerprints are on the current economic mess, the public blames Bush.

Yep with President Obama and the supermajority in the Senate, they will cut the military by 25% at mininum and probably even more in order to paty for new welfare programs he’s currently advocating for.

Obama's strongest regions are northern Virginia and Hampton Roads, the latter dominated by military interests where McCain, a former Navy pilot, should be strong.

Re Hampton Roads: Norfolk is 45% black, Portsmouth 50% black and Chesapeake 30% black.

Obama probably will win Hampton Roads.

Doesn’t that mean these areas aren’t as key as they are being made out?

Additional, re Hampton Roads: Newport news is 40% black, Hampton 45%, Suffolk 44%. Virginia Beach, the largest Hampton Roads city by population is 19% black. Hampton Roads will go Obama. Stats Here
