Lost in the Buchanan article is the coming capitulation to terrorism and terrorists states, and the dismantling of our military. Perhaps Buchanan agrees with him on those counts?
If the Democrats have a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate you can count on it. The scenario I envision is that there will be the inevitable repeat of Columbine or Va. Tech to which the Democrats will call for the ban on the manufacture, sale and possession of all semi-automatic weapons. This will include shotguns as well as pistols and rifles. They will throw in a national firearms registration provision for good measure.
Of course none of this will fail to deter the next lunatic from shooting up a school or post office so when that happens the next move will be to ban the manufacture, sale and possession of ALL hand guns and repeating arms. So there goes revolvers, pump shotguns and lever action rifles.
And with if the Democrats hold 60 seats in the Senate the Republicans won’t be able to do a thing about it. Just like that 50 million Americans will suddenly become criminals.
So, to all of blue-collar types in Michigan and Pennsylvania and Iowa and Wisconsin and Minnesota who pull the lever for Obama because he’s for CHANGE, don’t be surprised when the knock on the door comes and the man who wears to star says, “Our records indicate that you own a Remington Model 1100 shotgun that has not been turned in as required. We have a warrant for your arrest. Please come with us”

From what I glean from his writings, rantings and recordings, BHO is definitely a Marxist leaning Socialist. To pretend that they are outraged by the charges from the Right and McCain campaign which they call desperation tactics, there is no doubt that an Obama administration, coupled with a Democratically controlled Super Majority congress, there is no end to the Socialists policies that will be unleashed in 2009. Mark my word, this will indeed be the beginning of the new United States Socialist Republic. Little did we know that when the USSR folded that we would eventually take their place in history. I just hope and pray that our socialism doesn’t last 75 years like theirs did.

If the Democrats pick up seats in Congress I expect an immediate “assault weapons ban” that will include ten times the number fo firearms in the banned list than the 1994 list. Ammunition and parts will be included as well. We’ll see the BATFE get triple funding. It will be an all out assault on firearms.
If it really comes to that, which the leftists in power dream of, I think that might be the time to die for the country. I can't imagine the local police (population 10,000) coming down a dead end, one mile dirt road and asking us for our hunting rifles. I think I might be prepared to make my last stand in my home, not in jail or the camps being rumoured "they" are building.
Have you read the first few chapters of "The Turner Diaries"? Regardless of _the rest_ of the book, Mr. Pierce was dead-on in his predictions.

The pitchforks will be out for 2012 as the American People will be fed up with Obamacide bleeding the nation. I fear it will be worse than Pat says as the US id “tested” international front with a weakened military being sent all over the world as “peacekeepers.” Like Wilson who played the Peace Card and got us into WW I—so will Obama bring us into WW III. He will divide this land as it hasn’t been since 1860.
Point well taken about the military. I just don’t know where their allegiance will lie, push come to shove. I suppose one can look at what happened in Nazi Germany with the Wermacht to get some sense of precedence. However, our nation is different in that we have a strong sense of liberty and individual freedom; I feel that the “spirit” resides in our armed forces and I hope it would be very difficult for them to fire on Americans.
If half of these events come to pass, Obama has no chance of holding Congress in 2010. I'm torn between him moderating his Marxism in hopes of a second term, or %$#@ing things up so badly, so quickly, that we no longer have elections.
I would look for many to desert and take their weapons with them.
