If Barack Obama wins, he’s only going to win by cheating and stealing the election. I would expect MCCain’s camp to demand recounts in all battleground states where ACORN sat their corrupt butts. For our military to be disenfranchised means it’s time to fight back and hard for the next four years until the left is so worn out from the battle that we win four years after that.

Isn’t there ACORN investigations in 17 states now? (Or is my number wrong?)

This is what the democrats really think of our military, Their votes do not count, according to Nancy Pelosi’s goon squad. What more proof do we need?

Wow! an outstanding quote at the end.

military folk “don’t fight because they hate what’s in front of them, they fight because they love what’s behind them.”

Just damn. What a line.

Asking Pelosi for legislation to protect the vote of the military? Now that’s rich. She’s probably helping to shred them.

There are often problems with military absentee ballots, some legitimate, some contrived. I think that if the various veterans groups, officers associations, etc. took this right to the state governments in a determined fashion immediately, there would probably be far fewer problems in future elections. It happens every election. It gets called out. Then nothing gets done at the state level where the nitty gritty of ballot issues are worked out, and so it happens again.
I remember in 1960 voting by absentee ballot from the Mediterranean. We had to mail our ballots three weeks early to have a shot at their being counted. Seems to me that when we sent them from Nam they wouldn’t count unless they were hand cancelled to insure a postmark.

What did Kipling say?

Tommy, by Rudyard Kipling

I went into a public-’ouse to get a pint o’ beer,
The publican ‘e up an’ sez, “We serve no red-coats here.”
The girls be’ind the bar they laughed an’ giggled fit to die,
I outs into the street again an’ to myself sez I:

O it’s Tommy this, an’ Tommy that, an’ “Tommy, go away”;
But it’s “Thank you, Mister Atkins”, when the band begins to play,,
The band begins to play, my boys, the band begins to play,
O it’s “Thank you, Mister Atkins”, when the band begins to play.

I went into a theatre as sober as could be,
They gave a drunk civilian room, but ‘adn’t none for me;
They sent me to the gallery or round the music-’alls,
But when it comes to fightin’, Lord! they’ll shove me in the stalls!

For it’s Tommy this, an’ Tommy that, an’ “Tommy, wait outside”;
But it’s “Special train for Atkins” when the trooper’s on the tide,,
The troopship’s on the tide, my boys, the troopship’s on the tide,
O it’s “Special train for Atkins” when the trooper’s on the tide.

Yes, makin’ mock o’ uniforms that guard you while you sleep
Is cheaper than them uniforms, an’ they’re starvation cheap;
An’ hustlin’ drunken soldiers when they’re goin’ large a bit
Is five times better business than paradin’ in full kit.

Then it’s Tommy this, an’ Tommy that, an’ “Tommy, ‘ow’s yer soul?”
But it’s “Thin red line of ‘eroes” when the drums begin to roll,,
The drums begin to roll, my boys, the drums begin to roll,
O it’s “Thin red line of ‘eroes” when the drums begin to roll.

We aren’t no thin red ‘eroes, nor we aren’t no blackguards too,
But single men in barricks, most remarkable like you;
An’ if sometimes our conduck isn’t all your fancy paints,
Why, single men in barricks don’t grow into plaster saints;

While it’s Tommy this, an’ Tommy that, an’ “Tommy, fall be’ind”,
But it’s “Please to walk in front, sir”, when there’s trouble in the wind,,
There’s trouble in the wind, my boys, there’s trouble in the wind,
O it’s “Please to walk in front, sir”, when there’s trouble in the wind.

You talk o’ better food for us, an’ schools, an’ fires, an’ all:
We’ll wait for extry rations if you treat us rational.
Don’t mess about the cook-room slops, but prove it to our face
The Widow’s Uniform is not the soldier-man’s disgrace.

For it’s Tommy this, an’ Tommy that, an’ “Chuck him out, the brute!”
But it’s “Saviour of ‘is country” when the guns begin to shoot;
An’ it’s Tommy this, an’ Tommy that, an’ anything you please;
An’ Tommy ain’t a bloomin’ fool,you bet that Tommy sees!

Well, Reid and Pelosi are now chiefly responsible. But so, indirectly, is President Bush. Not that he WANTS this, I am very certain, but he has done nothing in eight years to prevent it.

We all remember that military ballots were tossed in Florida in 2000, and it almost cost Bush the election. Why hasn’t he done more to fix it, while he was in a position to do so? It’s too late now.

If these men and women put themselves in harm’s way for us, the least we can do is count their votes.

How can you tell a Democrat from a Republican when you are in uniform? Easy, the Republicans say; “Thank you for your service”. The Democrats don’t even attempt to make eye contact. I wear a retired army hat and I got the weirdest looks from people, when I wore it in the last election while waiting on the line to vote. Wheeew, if looks could kill I would have died there. Ever notice that almost all the Libs appear to look the same. The women have long grayish hair wearing hemp vests and loose skirts and the guys have gray beards wearing worn cargo shorts, a worn Boonie hat and worn shirts. The women always seem to have that permanent scorn look, like they are always bitter.

My son, serving in Japan - in the Navy - sent his in and it arrived at our voters office today. I work in the courthouse, and the kind lady in voters called me to let me know they had received it!

Another vote for McCain/Palin!

Oh- she’ll go along with it if the Republicans go over her head to the American people with HARD hitting ads... There are a LOT of Dems who are vets. I know many. This will stick in people’s craws- especially in places like PA.

Correct!! That is the only way Gore and Kerry even got close. The voter fraud increases each year with few of the fraudulent voters being purged from the registry, making the number increase each election. The Left is stealing our country.

"Just damn. What a line."

It's from GK Chesterton...

""The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him."

...Perhaps one of the most under-rated minds of the early 20th Century....Rush occasionally quotes him, and CS Lewis largely attributed his embrace of Christianity to Chesterton's Everlasting Man. Well worth reading if you're not familiar with him.

Here is a copy of an Email that I sent to the VFW National Headquarters info@vfw.org and to the VFW Washington Office at cwells@vfw.org

Sirs,

Once again, it appears that our service people are being treated as if they are second-class citizens and being disenfranchised regarding their right to vote. I cannot think of a more egregious circumstance relative to basic rights for our military personnel. Please view the below referenced video:

http://www.foxnews.com/video-search/m/21310185/ballot_battle.htm?pageid=27100

Is our National Headquarters doing anything about this? Perhaps a Press Release and/or a request to go on the talk show circuit to discuss this issue with the American people is in order. I am outraged, and our National Headquarters should be also, yet I hear nothing from you. It is incumbent on our National Headquarters to take the lead regarding this issue.

Please inform me as to your plan to correct this problem.

Respectfully,

PWDirector (used real name)
