thanks
Why? Did he believe Palestinians could be trusted? The same people passing out candy to children on 9/11?
we got work to do. and we have 6 days left to win. ok!!!
Sorry...not buying it. All your posts in this topic are written in a way to discourage the McCain campaign from pursuing the Khalidi tape.
Not saying that the palis weren’t troublemaking loons back then also, but 1993 is uhm... 8 years before 9/11.
The COO of the Heritage Foundation sits on the Board.
sorry that i cant convince you further.
after my initial visit (and dust up with some oldies here) yesterday i decided that:
i’m not here to make you like me. i’m here to contribute for a larger cause.
its such behaviours like yours that have produced too many RINO’s in the conservative movement.
people (and bloggers) going around looking for people to bow and clap for them.
sorry. i’m here for the real conseervative cause which at this moment is being led by McCain and Palin.
NOT YOU SIR!

The Obama campaign and their supporters can't tell the truth, much less the whole truth.
The International Republican Institute isn't a "McCain organization". Under Reagan, Congress authorized the National Endowment for Democracy , which essentially dispurses funds, more accurately our tax dollars, through four sub groups, one Republican, one Dem, one Labor, and one private enterprise. And yes, as a Republican legislator McCain has been involved with the IRI, and whether McCain made it or not, I might support the decision to "fund" Khalid's group. They were hired to do polling in the West Bank. The fact that the Obama campaign doesn't understand that, when polling in a nest of terrorists, you either deal with terrorist supporters or don't do the polling. Same goes for distributing aid. Lots of bad guys cash our checks. That's the real world, if you want Goldilocks (bet I spelled that wrong) you need Obamaland. In his double super secret plan to take out bin Ladin, who does the Senator think he'll be dealing with, Nancy Pelosi?
Toasting the spokesman for a terrorist and wishing him well, perhaps validating his opinion that Israel shouldn't exist, is quite another thing.
Governor Palin will be in Cape Girardeau, Missouri Thursday morning. 11,000 tickets handed out.
Yes sir, the B-O campaign is worried big time because their internals are showing they are behind and falling fast and the eventual release of this tape won't help. All they can do is try to find a way to soften the blow ... to draw a comparison with McCain so they don't lose votes they are already counting on.
Were it a single event, Hillary kissing Suha, I'd agree. But he's acknowledged being close to Khalidi and his wife, Michelle attended their daughters wedding a couple months ago, so it's a relationship, not a simple introduction at a community/school event. And Ayers was there.
But if it was a simple, polite introduction, that could be proved in a heartbeat by releasing the tape
In a sense, they dole out tax dollars too, through through the National Endowment for Democracy , established by Congress. The IRI is one of four conduits, the dems have one too. See post 67
Yes, and when you poll in areas like the West Bank and Gaza, you can't use Gallup.
It's simply another attempt by Obama's team to divert attention from the facts. When McCain brought up the committees Obama & Ayers sat on, they countermanded with the fact that Walter Annenberg was a Reagan Republican.
You are a typical leftist agitator. Why are you here DUmmie?
It's hilarious that in this thread, giving half a million dollars to Khalidi is no big deal. In other threads being in the same room with him is a huge (HUGH!) deal because Khalidi is a terrorist.
The fact is that this is a non-issue for McCain because it was a non-issue for Obama. If this kind of tenuous stuff is all we have left to defeat Obama... well... I'll just say: things are not going all that well.
In 1993 we were fooling ourselves about the Madrid process, as it morphed into Oslo. However actual control by Arafat was still 2 years off. It was reasonable to attempt to establish democracy at the time. Who knows, if Bush I/Baker hadn't resurrected Arafat, and Clinton and Israel hadn't overlooked his noncompliance with agreements, things might have worked out differently.
Nice try at deflection, but the electoral issue with Obama isn't that he showed up to praise his friend, though that's a bit of an issue to me and others, rather whether in toasting his friend he accused Israel of committing genocide, and indicated that Israel had no right to exist on palestinian land.
That's a serious foreign policy statement, and exposes that aspect of his campaign as a fraud.
You can always tell when we’ve hit the target. Liberals are in such a panic today.
The original LAT article was written all the way back in April. Why bring it up again now?
My blue balls are hurting.
