That’s what the little fruit cup wanted, though.
Attention that his daddy never gave him.

Glad it’s down, because Sarah has little kids and that was offensive.

good - being a resident of the San Fernando Valley, over the hill from West Hollywood, i called the office of the
mayor of WH today to protest. they were very courteous and
said the mayor had made a statement against this display, and unfortunately there was nothing at that point they could do legally to force it to come down. i assume that
the hubbub in the neighborhood gave the police a reason to
act. thank goodness. what viciousness.

They're just taking about how the entire neighborhood was completely overrun and disrupted by large crowds from both sides. It was really turning into a media event.

Dennis Miller was funny tonight talking about them.

He said both of them had issues with women.

Good, it was in extremely poor taste at best and a sexist hate crime at worst.

The hypocrisy was starting to get a bit much. I heard about them bringing in the FBI, CIA, NSA, Homeland Security, S.W.A.T., ICE, CSI-NY, The Closer, Blade, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men and just about everyone else today because they found an effigy of “The One” on some “college campus.” They said it was some kind of “hate crime.” The effigy of the Governor of Alaska was just fun “art” though. America! You are one sick puppy.

If it was an oversized American flag, it would have yanked in 15 minutes as some sort of zoning violation.

Call the Feds. She’s a candidate for Vice President and has Secret Service protection. They should be going into action regarding what is in effect a death threat. Look what happened when Obamamrama was hung in effigy on some campus.

You know, that “attention daddy never gave him” remark actually explains a great deal of gay male behavior. This whole gay marriage thing... I swear, if the rest of society just shrugged and said, “Fine, go ahead.” They’d sulk until they could think of something else that would get a rise out of us.

I agree.

How come no liberal or democrats complained about how her young children would feel seeing an effigy of 'THEIR MOMMY DEAD HANGING IN A NOOSE'??

Why did no one ask about the effect of an absolutely horrible sight like that would have on her kids??

The fact that Hussein said nothing about it,,,and never demanded its removal is UNCONSCIONABLE!!

It tells you everything you need to know about the way Hussein thinks.

that’s what i said: it was a death threat. apparently it
was covered by First Amendment on private property. anyway they found something to nail the jerks on. believe me, the mayor’s office sounded like they wanted this over and done with as the publicity for the little city has been atro-
cious. they said they were getting tons of calls - against - from all over the country.

"[B]etween 1880 and 1951 the Tuskegee Institute recorded lynchings of 3,437 African-American victims, as well as 1,293 white victims."

"Only" 1,293 white victims but that was only in the South.

Another Internet source says..

"Another well-documented episode in the history of the American West is the Johnson County War, a dispute over land use in Wyoming in the 1890s. Large-scale ranchers, with the complicity of local and federal Republican politicians, hired mercenary soldiers and assassins to lynch the small ranchers (mostly Democrats) who were their economic competitors and whom they portrayed as 'cattle rustlers.'"

Chinese, Irish, Mexican, Italians, Native Americans, and more were all victims and there were victims all over the country. See here

By far the greatest number were black Americans and some of their white supporters in the post-Civil War South. "In the 1870s, Democrats regained power through affiliated militia terrorism of black and white Republicans, assassination of community leaders and political activists, and intimidation and restriction of voters at the polls."

So why is it a hate crime vis-a-vis the Obama effigy and all in good Halloween fun when it's a white? It don't make a lick of sense.

it is attention seeking childish behaviour which is typical with their sort

Why? It was suggested by someone here on another thread and illustrates the hypocrisy.

The fact is that that would have been taken down on Day 1 if it had a black face or an afro.

Let’s cut the PC crap and deal in facts.

That is exactly what Dennis Miller said tonight. He mentioned that Barack missed a chance to hit it out of the park, by condemning the hanging effigy, by saying as a black man that type of display brings back a very bad memories that has no place in this campaign.

Hate to say this, but the ONLY reason that was taken down was because a similar one showed up on a college campus only of a different “ethnic persuasion”. It was being called a hate crime, but then the Dems wouldn’t be able to play that angle with the effigy of Palin was still hanging.

Exactly. Dennis Miller is correct.

Hussein's silence on this speaks volumes. He could have stopped it in a second.

I guess it's ok for his kids to see a VP candidate hanging in a noose.

I guess he's ok with that,,,

because he never addressed how the racist, hateful vitriol spewed by Rev. Wright poisoned the mind of his two kids (not to mention poisoning the minds of the next generation of black youth) either.

the hubbub in the neighborhood gave the police a reason to act.

The left has used street violence for a long time and it moves their cause forward unless they encounter organized violence. Violence pays. It's that simple.
