Joe Biden...Deadbeat
Comment on Article in Chambersburg, PA, Public Opinion | Oct 30 2008 | Bruce D. Riddle, CPA, CFP

Subject: FW: JOE BIDEN

I feel an obligation to honesty and truth to share with you some facts. My Father and Mother instilled in me the values and morals of treating people fairly and always being honest. If you purchase something, you pay for it. If you borrow something, you give it back.

I have been 'stiffed' three times in my 30 year professional career by someone who I rendered services to, gave a finished product to, but who refused to pay for those services even though they acknowledged the services and products were correct, were what they asked for, and were never challenged for not being correct. I am lucky in having only three, but those three hurt badly.

Joe Biden was one of those people. I worked on his 1988 Presidential campaign financial disclosure engagement. I busted it for him and got everything right. He stiffed me for over $15,000 worth of work. He refused to pay once he dropped out of the race. I did similar Capitol Hill campaign financial disclosure work for Bob Dole, Pat Buchanan, and a Democratic candidate for Ambassador to New Zealand. All of those folks paid even though they lost the election or did not get the appointment. That type of work is very demanding and very tedious because your efforts are scrutinized by Congress. Biden did not care.

I am on the Board of Directors of a company that owns a majority position in a private jet management company in Northern Virginia. They manage jets for businesses and rich folks. They also charter planes to the public. This past winter John (sp?) Thompson chartered over $250,000 worth of air time. He paid every penny.

Joe Biden, in his latest unsuccessful run for President, chartered over $150,000 worth of air time. He PAID ZERO. He continues to refuse to pay stating his race is over and he is out of money. He never once complained about his flights. Joe Biden is a rich man. He could pay.

Joe Biden is a liar and a cheat. I know it first hand. Character is what life is all about. Joe Biden is a man of bad character and sets a bad example for America. I feel compelled to share this dark side of a man who asks for your vote and trust.

Best Regards,

Bruce D. Riddle, CPA, CFP BDR Associates, LLC 2401 Research Boulevard, Suite 101 Rockville, MD 20850

Here's an email from a lawyer saying Biden didn't pay his legal and other fees. It's signed and can be verified. I can't link the comment directly, but go to Publicopiniononline.com and read the comments posted to the story 'Republican Party has a grip on the election in Franklin County' by Jim Hook. It's the second comment.

But, but, the Dimocrats are for the working stiff...I guess only when they don’t have to pay for it. You need to give all your money to the government so they can plunder it and then give what’s left of it to those who don’t work and who are needy.

Wow! He going to be disbarred for saying something like that about Uncle Joe.

The Democratic machine will chew him up and spit him out.

That’s good that he paid, but who is John Thompson? Anybody know?

From Snopes.com

After we completed this article, we received a subsequent e-mail from Mr. Riddle stating the following:

I sent a private e-mail to 6 family members some time ago about Joe Biden not paying his bills for services rendered. The e-mail was private and contained my contact information. One of those family members sent it to two other people. One of those other people stupidly sent it to the world with my contact information included.

I have been bombarded with phone calls and e-mails to the point of not being able to work or lead a normal life. Since the e-mail was sent out the bills have been paid in full. This matter is closed.

I would appreciate you helping me share this with the world so it will die a natural death.

I think he was talking about Fred Thompson, here.

Not surprising that Fred paid every penny. Fred is a straight-up kind of guy.

Biden, on the other hand, is always looking for something for free.

John Glenn did the same thing. To the tune of $8 million causing small businesses to go out of business.

But, hey, it’s okay cuz he water-skied with with Jackie O.

This whole election is a joke if BO gets in. Chances are BO is going to get JFK ed and then Biden will become prez. What a nightmare.

It is likely like the Obama/Biden team got some help from the Iranian govt thru credit card fraud to pay off the debt once this went public.

Biden lives in a massive compound, pays nothing in charity, lies relentlessly and fluently, plagiarizes law school and campaign speeches, votes wrong on big issues on a constant basis and funnels money and jobs to family members.

That probably explains why he is so popular among the degenerate permanent establishment in DC.

I find it interesting that it took so long to settle this the accounting bill (from 1988). I guess all those untraceable contributions to the Obama/Biden campaign were useful.

I also read Biden didn’t pay for a driveway he had put in at his house.

Biden ran this cycle, too, dropping out very early on. It’s likely the bill is from this time around though he’s still a deadbeat.

I used to own a business that did election work (printing). It was ALWAYS cash up front for any candidate. Didn't matter which party etc. It does warm my heart to see one lawyer stiff another though.

Perhaps it may be true about the jet fees, but it is a fact that he never was paid the $15,000 from the 88 campaign, and that was confirmed by the article you referenced.

That’s smart. I’ve worked on many local campaigns and it’s pretty common practice to collect up front, especially for signs, bumperstickers and mailings. Even unelected politicians see cash as something that can be spent, regardless of how much debt they already have.

I guess this CPA realizes that if McCain doesn’t get in, he and all of us won’t have a way to keep what worth we are left with. So might as well pull all the stops and talk.

I agree. If Obama is elected he would prop up these guys because he is beholden to them. They will be more responsible for him being elected than anything else.

Bailouts for the MSM and the Fairness Doctrine are on the way if Obama is elected.
