In Alabama, Republicans McCain and Sessions Win Big: Republican John McCain will carry Alabama and Republican Jeff Sessions will be re-elected to the US Senate, according to a SurveyUSA poll conducted for WKRG-TV in Mobile. McCain wins by 25 points. Sessions wins by 33 points. 800 Alabama adults were interviewed 10/27/08 and 10/28/08. Of them, 757 were registered to vote. Of them, 650 were determined by SurveyUSA to be likely to vote on or before election day.
Big wheels keep on turning
Carry me home to see my kin
Singing songs about the Southland
I miss Alabamy once again
And I think its a sin, yes
Well I heard mister Young sing about her
Well, I heard ole Neil put her down
Well, I hope Neil Young will remember
A Southern man don’t need him around anyhow
Sweet home Alabama
Where the skies are so blue
Sweet Home Alabama
Lord, I’m coming home to you
In Birmingham they love the governor
Now we all did what we could do
Now Watergate does not bother me
Does your conscience bother you?
Tell the truth
Sweet home Alabama
Where the skies are so blue
Sweet Home Alabama
Lord, I’m coming home to you
Here I come Alabama
Now Muscle Shoals has got the Swampers
And they’ve been known to pick a song or two
Lord they get me off so much
They pick me up when I’m feeling blue
Now how about you?
Sweet home Alabama
Where the skies are so blue
Sweet Home Alabama
Lord, I’m coming home to you
Sweet home Alabama
Oh sweet home baby
Where the skies are so blue
And the governor’s true
Sweet Home Alabama
Lordy
Lord, I’m coming home to you
Yea, yea Montgomery’s got the answer
hmm...Is it really necessary to poll AL at this point?
Pray and Work for it!
Does anybody know what Bush’s 2004 alabama numbers were?
Bush 62.46%
Kerry 36.84%
Hey Alabamans, will 20% of you please spread the wealth and vote in Florida, NC, VA, etc?
63% Bush 37% Kerry
Thanks. I’d like to figure out who in the heck is voting for Sessions and not McCain...
It’s right where it was for 2004.
i’ll be sure to put this in the “captain obvious” folder.
Polling Alabama is throwing good money down the drain.
how many ev’s ?...I’m starting my list for 270...
Get out and Vote anyway Alabama! Make it a landslide!
God bless the great state of Alabama. You folks have got it right, unlike my state.
My Alabama girlfriend drove a four hour round trip to go absentee vote. She's 44 and has not voted since she was 18.
On the morning of Nov. 5th, the Obamamaniacs are going to be STUNNED into a new reality!
That is, the adults are still in charge, and they ain't gonna like it one little bit.
I am so sick of Los Angeles...I’m moving to Alabama.
I love Alabama and EWTN!
You would never regret it, especially if you get close to the coast.
Oh Thank You Alabama!!!!! One of the few states I have never been in.
Be careful. A lot of people from CA, NY will start heading your way bringing their liberal garbage with them. Look at VA and NC and their heading your way.
Ramma jamma, yellowhammer, give ‘em hell, Alabama!
They already are. AND their BAD MANNERS, to boot.
ROLL TIDE!!
We drove the length of the state last week on I65 to vacation at Gulf Shores (seafood at DeSoto’s is outstanding, but there’s a wait, even in the off season).
Very few 0bama signs and bumper stickers. MANY MANY McCain/Palin signs and stickers. I believe I actually saw more “Country First” than “Roll Tide.” That’s amazing.
A vacation will do you good....
We know how to pick our presidents and senators. Local officials...not so much.
9.
Truer words were never spoken.
It's interesting to see what's going on the rest of the country. I'm in the reddest county in the reddest state in the country. I have a difficult time wrapping my mind around what's going on elsewhere with this campaign.
We are great at picking our presidents and senators. Not so great at electing local officials. Birmingham is a textbook case for when ‘Rats rule the city.
War Eagle!
We could still win the Iron Bowl!
And monkeys could fly out of my butt.
No doomsayers to say that McCain will 'probably' win the State but not by the margins Bush did?
The libs screw up their states because they keep voting for the numbskulls and then they start voting for the same types they fled.
Liberalism is a terminal and menatal disease that destroys everything it touches regardless of sex, race or creed.
Lone Star -
I know many people in Alabama who are ‘Generational Democrats’. By that, I mean they vote for the party of their Grandfather’s. Unfortunately, THAT Democrat Party no longer exists. It has been hijacked by the extremist ‘leftists’ from the 1960’s (and the Republican Party, for that matter). I only hope they wake up and see what it has become.
I was talking the other day to a friend of mine who has been a life-long, registered Democrat. She said she COULD NOT vote for Obama because she finds him, his policies, and connections FRIGHTENING. We can only pray others have come to their senses. God help us.
Come on down!
I was raised in Chicagoland, and then have lived and visited places all over the world.
When it came time to retire, I could not think of a better place than Alabama.
I can drive across the whole city in 15 minutes - any time of day.
Yup. We are primed and ready next Tuesday morning to go make it 2-0 from our house for Sarah and the old guy. Jeff Sessions is one of the very few conservatives left in the republican party in the Senate. I have to admire him to even sit in the same room with the likes of Clinton, Kerry, Kennedy, Obama, Biden and those pukes. He probably takes a shower every evening when he gets home. He must feel slimy after a day with those slime ball pigs.
Come on down Mama, we got great country and a great place to live. People need to simply forget the 1960s and back. This is a wonderful place to live. I was off in the military and living in other areas for 38 years. It was do darn great to come home. I will never leave. Only my trip to Heaven will get me out of here again. We’d be glad to have all you good conservatives.
Yes indeed! Sweet Home Alabama. I married a New Yorker. He loves it here. His parents moved down here about 5 years after he did. They are from Long Island (Islip), but they love it here in the South. My husband has brothers and sisters in New York still, and they are voting for McCain/Palin. He has 9 cousins who are all married in Chicago, and they are ALL voting McCain/Palin. He has aunts and Uncles in North Carolina, and they are voting for McCain/Palin. He has a sister in Pennsylvania and she’s voting for McCain/Palin. All my family is here in the good state of Alabama. And of course we are all small town, God fearing, gun carrying proud Americans who are voting for McCain/Palin. ROLL TIDE ROLL!
