Do I need a passport?

Get it now while the getting's good.

My kids and I have ours that we just got in Sept. Very easy and quick. It took less than a month to get everything back.

I figured that we'd get it while we still could and they didn't complicate the process beyond any reasonable amount.

The other thing I figured was that if this country endured a terrorist attack, then security would be tightened up like crazy and things like that would be much more difficult.

I'd suggest getting the passport card as well, at the same time. It's just $20 more and all done with the same paperwork and filing fee.

Well, why not have Obama pay for my mortgage and fill my gas tank. Did we not just give $700 billion of taxpayer money to Wall Street?

What do you mean, the government has been paying for her housing all her life. The only difference now is that he is going to pay for a house she owns.

I wish Obama would pay the mortgage for a fellow named Tito Petito. I happen to be holding that mortgage.

I sold the property in 2006. Mr. Petito made a total of 7 payments of $488 each before defaulting.

I have a foreclosure judgement but can't do anything with it. My hands are tied because Mr. Petito has, for the 2nd time, filed for bankruptcy.

The banks and mortgage brokers might be getting a bailout but I'm getting diddley-squat.

“I won’t have to worry about putting gas in my car, I won’t have to worry about paying my mortgage. If I help him, he’s gonna help me”.

In a pig's eye, lady. These gullible people deserve what they get. Unfortunately they have to drag the rest of the nation down right along with them, who don't deserve Obama.

Anybody who thinks they won't suffer under an Obama regime is in for a mighty rude awakening.

That’s the silver lining here, I suppose. If Obama does manage to win, many of these people voting for him are going to be bitterly disappointed AND angry in a year or two. He’s made a lot of pie-in-the-sky promises that he can’t keep.

Somehow, I don't think that that will happen. What they'll do is blame it on the Republicans anyway. They'll say that Bush et al, made such a mess of things that they were *forced* into the position of doing these things to *fix* everything.

They won't take responsibility for their actions.

She said, if she helps him, HE will help her.

That lady believes her VOTE is worth a hell of a lot of money.

Let's be kind a 600 per mo. mortgage and 20 per week in gas, puts her vote at about 8200 per year. That means one vote for a four year term at about 33 thousand dollars.

You know she just might be right!!

DOES ANYBODY HAVE THIS:

Someone showed me an email the other day where the headline was: “Obama Loses Black Support”. It showed Obama saying that he would ensure that everyone had a job, and then a photo of a mob of inner city yutes fleeing.

Obama has been talking about redistribution of wealth his entire adult life.

That means reparations. That means direct seizure of whatever Obama considers “excess wealth” and distribution thereof to the blacks.

For the Hispanics, perhaps he’ll talk to Mexico about ceding back the lands lost in the Mexican-American War.

For the Muslims, he will finally come out as a Muslim when he becomes the first President to be invited to Mecca and Medina on a trip to Saudi Arabia.

For everyone else, it’s going to be hell on earth.

The Obama die-hards will certainly find a way to blame the Republicans, but I’m not so sure about the 40% or so of independents who have bought into it. I think they’d turn on him pretty quick if/when everything goes south.

Nah, my observations are that Black people in general (and with exception for freepers) don't like Hispanics much. And hispanics, in general, don't like black people much.

Regardless of the outcome of the election, there will be rioting.

I’m sorry, I can’t quite agree on this. Whatever negative effects appear within the first two years he’ll blame on Bush. The really devastating effects will only appear much later. He and Reid and Pelois will pick and choose their battles, pick and choose the pace of the things they introduce such that they don’t immediately bring about the Revolution but instead set the switches irrevocably.

THe most frightening thing is foreign policy. He will be tested, he will fail the test, but with the media’s help, he will spin things in such a way as to make it out to be a success (JFK and Kruschev come to mind) or blame it on someone else (Bush).

If the populace is stupid enough to elect this guy and give him a 60 vote Senate majority, then the populace is stupid enough to be bamboozled when he blames others for his own mistakes and turns the misery that he has produced to his own advantage.

Which is why our best hope is that the populace is in fact not yet quite stupid enough to elect this guy.

Her check won’t cover the added gasoline tax. When her car falls apart, she will not qualify for a loan for even a third hand beater and might get a free bus pass. Her mortgage will be renegotiated and she will still have to pay it. After 3 years of falling behind, the government will be forced to reposses her now-crumbling house. The remaining few taxpayers will have to pay to have it razed and she will be in public housing, if there is room left. Her food stamps still won’t cover all the snacks and convenience foods she desires and eventually, she will pass that age when the government, which is also the healthcare system, tells her it is her duty to die, here’s the free pill. Her children will riot and loot whenever they feel like it and soon, no city will have any sort of shopping area. The wealthy who find urban living to their taste and have survived the first wave of riots, will have left permanently for their summer home.

All that will be left will be the uber-wealthy. They will pay for the proles and we will be hunkered down in rural enclaves, keeping body and soul together with as little income as possible. Possibly we will be lucky to get service jobs at the palatial dachas.

We’ll be bombed at some point, but it will be a progressive liberal city. The cities may even be occupied by whomever does the bombing. Most of us will find it hard to summon any pity. We’ll be too busy trying to keep the occupiers out of our own areas.

I hope we survive this nightmare, if it comes to pass. For now, I am praying for MacCain/Palin.

Remember when we were pushing for GWB over McCain because GWB was the more conservative? We are so screwed no matter how this election turns out.

Yeah, but McCain has at least given conservatism a future in the form of Sarah Palin. Despite my admiration for Cheney, he doesn't have what it takes to lead conservatives in the way that Sarah has.
