Blacks and Hispanics have more tension going on than either group has with me, (support!) your local white white guy:) I'm a neutral observer in a blue helmet. I just know the previously mentioned ethnic groups can't live with each other in L.A.

Then I work with a semi-retired Real Black uW tech guy from Eritrea, east Africa who everybody likes. Drop somebody from any foreign country here and we appear illogical. With luck, his daughters won't get indoctrinated by UCLA.

Well said, Angel.

I love Tito - what he is saying doesn’t need to be tarnished by, well, we just don’t need to go there.

April, ditto on the welcome aboard. I hope you didn’t think that this was a place that encourages racism.

Thanks for the welcome. My comment wasn't and isn't meant to be racist. And, I agree, that this is certainly not a forum for racism.

I am merely passing on information that I have gathered during the course of the campaign. I don't offer it as opinion, just information.

I have heard significant concern from Latino/Hispanic constituencies that they have a fear of Obama being more favorable to [one race] than to their race. It comes from significant issues between the two groups and it isn't helping Obama & Co.

Hispanics in Texas, California and Arizona, etc. have isues and Obama isn't the answer. He's seen as a potential threat that Anglo candidates (Republican & Democrat) don't present. They were ok with Kerry and supported Kerry because Kerry was a traditional, predictable liberal. Like Clinton, Carter, et al. Obama is something else. His platform and issues come directly from the black communist experience and his policies will hurt Hispanic economic interests which are absolutely NO DIFFERENT than Anglo interests.

As for using the word black... I have significant experience in understanding the black community in the USA and how they relate to communism and internationalism. While most blacks have no interest in the issue, there is a segment of this group that has been trained since the 1930’s to be a radical, leftist vanguard in the Leftist movement. Think Black Panthers. They, today, believe that the Long awaited Leftist Revolution has begun and they are pushing hard to win this race. To them, Obama IS the messiah.

The Bill Ayers issue and other leftist connections are significant. It would take a book to explain all of this in detail, but please believe that Obama has extreme leftist tendencies and his presidency will be dominated by extreme leftists who are motivated to destroy capitalism and institute a society similar to Venezuela and Cuba. Thus, the strong reaction by the Hispanic community. They understand what happens to the middle class under these kinds of regimes and they don't want the American Dream destroyed as they work to achieve success.

Again, I'm not a racist and I'm not spreading racist gossip. I'm warning anyone who will listen that all sorts of people are seeing through Obama and the left and are understanding the threat we face. Imagine four new Supreme Court justices that think Chavez and Castro are correct!!!

Thanks again for listening and , PEACE!

“My question is why we would have “black-centric” and “hispanic-centric” issues in the first place...

America is a melting pot.... look it up....”

You need to visit some afro-centric churchs and listen to the sermons - like Obama has for 20 years. The black community believes this stuff. There is extreme anger in the black community over social injustice. They see Obama as the one who will right the historic wrongs. From slavery reparations to civil rights to affirmative action to access to the ballot box to many other issues of continuing de facto segregation. They have many valid complaints in 2008 and they want relief.

An Obama presidency will be expected by the black community to address these issues and bring long awaited solutions to these problems. As such, Obama will serve this constituency (or watch American cities burn in anger). The solutions will not sit well with Anglos and Hispanics because they are going to pay the bill. So... there is less enthusiasm for Obama among these constituencies.

Its not RACE, its issues and the issues will be black or afro-centric because that's what a Chicago community organizer (or, in English... communist) is supposed to do.

Sorry for the long winded analysis but the issues are complex. I'm just saying Obama doesn't have strong support in the Hispanic community. I'm not race baiting.

“...I just know the previously mentioned ethnic groups can't live with each other in L.A. ...

I was in LA about a month ago and a black friend “assured” me that Latinos shoot blacks for recreation. I was sickened by this story. I don't know if it true. I have also heard from Hispanic business associates in LA that they are terrified of blacks because they are victimized by crime.

Sounds like a West Side Story thing going on and it IS sad in our “melting pot.” But, it's reality. My sense is this is hurting Obama in California.

No matter who is elected president, somebody needs to mediate between these groups before it gets out of control. I think McCain can do that.

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt here because you are no doubt a young person, probably (un)-educated by the public school system. Try google... they're the modern day crib sheets..

Try these links: do a bit of research...

Chicago Race Riots

Watts Race Riots

Then study LBJ's:

The Great Society

Many of us have "been there, seen that, got the t-shirt"... We've also seen the same proposed solutions fail for over 40 years and trillions of dollars.

My dear April you can't fix what's broke with a government program nor an ocean full of gold... we've proved that already.

America has paid it's debt for slavery with 500,000 lives in the 1860's. We've also paid out trillions of dollars in reparations over the last 40 years via affirmative action, scholarships, racial quotas, governments set asides... etc. etc.

I hasn't worked.... The soloution is to do what all other ethnic groups do with great success in America....

ASSIMILATE

That's the risk of getting too cerebral with fellow conservatives who are as stressed out about the election as I am.

Thanks for the compliments gramps. We probably both worked together on Goldwater!

For what it is worth, I agree with you.
Like I tell my Black friends the reason I am not voting for OB is the same reason I couldn’t vote for Clinton, Gore, Kerry,—WE are not on the same page.
Give me a viable Black candidate that ‘agrees’ with my way of thinking and a white that doesn’t, the one that agrees gets my vote. Same with Women. Same with Whites.
I had absolutely NO problem voting for Doug Wilder as Gov of VA many moons ago, as he was more in tune with my thinking than Marshall Coleman (W-R-x Marine) was.
Also, as much as I hate losing the spot to a D, Warner, IMNSHO, is the better choice for Senator than Gilmore but my conservatism will make it hard to vote for Warner...
