Well I, I, I, I continue to, I continue to, uh, uh, support a ban on concealed carry laws.
I did not know that.
Really, I didnt know that Barack Obama wants to outlaw CCWs (concealed weapons permits). I thought that Id followed this campaign closer than most, but this one got right by me. For the record, I myself hold a State of Florida Concealed Weapon or Firearm License, having subjected myself to a background check, paid the fee (and renewal fees) and demonstrated proficiency and responsibility with personal firearms. Hell, there was a time some years ago when I was berated on a radio show for having submitted myself to the scrutiny of the government for having applied for a permit as a prerequisite to carrying. Now I learn that if Obama wins I wont even have the right to ask the government to certify me to responsibly exercise my rights (obligations?) under the second amendment. Has he been asked a direct question in the presidential campaign about why he feels that way?
Hey, watch this. The setting is a WBEZ Chicago NPR radio program called Eight Forty-Eight, the date is September 13, 2004, as Obama runs for the US Senate. [yes, it is edited for time. You can listen to the entire interview at this link...look for September 13, audio link to "Campaign Notebook, Obama on guns and crime"]
Obama flat says, with pausal prompts omitted, I continue to support a ban on concealed carry laws. As I mentioned, I didnt know that until now. It turns out that it really isnt much of a secret, (I am consistently on record and will continue to be on record as opposing concealed carry) but you wouldnt know that from Obamas campaign website, where you have to find his position on the 2nd Amendment under additional issues sportsmen and not find anything about carry permits.
The windows movie file of the video can be downloaded here.
I apologize for the low quality of the audio in advance.
The mp3 of the audio is here: http://courtzero.org/obamaccw.mp3
BUMP. Expose the gun grabbing marxist. He’s as bad as Rudy was.
Exactly. This needs to be disseminated, especially to PA voters.
Well, I can see that this would infuriate the state governments to NO END. If Congress were stupid enough to pass anything like this ... well ... I suspect it would go hot pretty soon thereafter.
BTTT and Ping.
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
It is amazing that all this audio has only been found in the last week.
Can we get this in breaking so that others see it in the morning and so that it gets the exposure it needs from the likes of Hannity, Rush etc.
Tree, I wouls suggest that you send it to Drudge, and the rest and send it to the NRA!!!! NOW!!!!!!
mark for later
For what it is worth, Senator "Coke-head" Obama's strong support for gun control can be found on his website, just not where you would expect from walking the menus. On Senator Obama's campaign website, he proclaims his strong support for gun control at http://www.barackobama.com/factcheck/2007/12/11/fact_check_no_news_in_obamas_c.php:
REALITY: OBAMA HAS CONSISTENTLY SUPPORTED COMMON SENSE GUN CONTROL, AS WELL AS THE RIGHTS OF LAW-ABIDING GUN OWNERS
Obama Supported A Package Of Legislation That Would Limit Handgun Sales To One A Month. ''The package closes the Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) card loopholes which resulted in the shooting out in Melrose Park. We're eliminating 17 specific assault weapons. There is no reason why anybody should need an assault weapon to protect themselves or their family,' Obama said. 'We're limiting handgun sales to one a month. 'We're calling for handgun registration. It's very hard right now to track whether or not a felon has turned in his weapons or if he has a FOID card because we don't know how many weapons he has purchased.'" [Chicago Defender, 2/20/01]
Obama Voted To Prohibit Multiple Sales Of Handguns Within A 30-Day Period. In 2003, Obama voted to create the offense of unlawful acquisition of handguns, prohibiting the multiple sales of handguns within a 30-day period. In 2000, Obama was co-sponsor of bill prohibiting the transfer of more than one handgun within a 30-day period. The bill exempted federally licensed firearm dealers who purchase handguns in the regular course of business, military, law enforcement officials and certain hunters. [93rd GA, HB 2579, 5/16/03, 3R L; 23-36-0; 91st GA; SB 1614; 2000]
Obama Disagreed With The NRA That "People Should Be Unimpeded And Unregulated On Gun Ownership;" In Favor Of Handgun Registration And Licensing Requirements. Obama said, "I know that the NRA believes people should be unimpeded and unregulated on gun ownership. I disagree. I do not object to the lawful use and ownership of firearms, but I do think it is entirely it appropriate for the state to monitor it. Too many of these guns end up in the hands of criminals even though they were originally purchased by people who did not have a felony. I'll continue to be in favor of handgun law registration requirements and licensing requirements for training." [Chicago Defender, 7/5/01]
Obama: America Has A "Tradition Of Gun Ownership In This Country That Can Be Respected." The Weekly Standard reported, "When a student asks Obama for his views on the Second Amendment, he reminds his audience that he taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago and is thus familiar with the arguments regarding the right to bear arms. He acknowledges 'a tradition of gun ownership in this country that can be respected,' and says that his academic studies convinced him gun ownership 'is an individual right and not just the right of a militia.' But he was not finished. 'Like all rights, though, they are constrained by the needs and the rights of the community.' Obama then spoke of 34 students who were killed on the streets of Chicago and called for sensible gun control to prevent senseless death. He speaks of the importance of parental involvement in education before listing the many ways in which he would expand the role of the federal government in the schools." [Weekly Standard, 12/17/07]
To paraphrase Andrew Jackson: Obama has made his decision, now let him enforce it!
I’m going to say something that the naive or uninitiated will think of as foolish, racist or inflammatory......but it is the way I see it..
Most men who have served in the military, law enforcement or had to make serious decisions in business — have a learned ability to spot an enemy, adversary or deceiver...
Each and every time I look into Obama’s face — regardless of the circumstances — I see the enemy......I see a man attempting to deceive....attempting to ensnare....show you a picture of himself that is false.
The arrogance in his demeanor and the way he speaks down to people, minimizes his relationships with long toothed criminals and terrorists and uses organizations like ACORN to disenfranchise legal American voters — sets my teeth on edge.
It is so freaking obvious - that one need not even listen to his line of socialist bullshit to tag him as a liar, deceiver and clearly an enemy of the Republic...

Obama Says A Baby Is A Punishment
That’s what his “civilian national security force” is for.
Uh uh, i, i, I, uh, ah, argh, ugggghuuuuhuuupchuck!
Odd isn't it? I'd say it was planned that way.
I wonder why retired psy-ops officers haven’t been more vocal about him.
Mr. Obama: America wants to ban you.
