For the second time in a week, a prominent Democrat has downgraded Barack Obama's definition of the middle class -- leading Republicans to question whether he'll stick to his promise not to raise taxes on anyone making under $250,000.
The latest hiccup in the campaign message apparently came Friday morning on KOA-AM, when New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson pegged the middle class as those making $120,000 and under.
"What Obama wants to do is he is basically looking at $120,000 and under among those that are in the middle class, and there is a tax cut for those," Richardson said in the interview, according to a clip posted on YouTube.

I knew sooner or later they’d consider me rich.
With all the money they have been printing and the resultant inflation a $60,000 salary will swell to $120,000 in a heartbeat.
McCain is going to win New Mexico.
I believe Bambi started out many months back at one million dollars?
But the Republican National Committee quickly blasted out an e-mail saying, “At this rate, it won’t take long until Obama is again raising taxes on Americans making as little as $42,000 a year.”
“When Barack Obama comes to your door this Halloween, there will be no treats — just taxes,” the e-mail said.
“Limbo lower! How low can you go!”
I know at least one voter that I can convert from Obama to McCain with this article.
wow!!!! I am rich by Richardsons account Could of’ve fooled me maybe they should come and see my house and how I live
And the ceiling will keep lowering like those horror movie torture chambers until we’re crushed by it.
Note also the terminology they use to hide the true income. When they start, they say “Individuals” because it is easier to hate a rich individual making over 300K/25/200/250/120.
After a few weeks, they have switched to “families” making over $150 (that is, combined incomes), which effectively cuts in half what they consider the yearly income considered wealthy and that is subject to punitive taxation.
In November of 2007, Barack was talking about perpetual social security taxes. When asked what he considered “rich” to be. He said - “families making $90,000.”
By the time this is over anyone over $14,700 per year will be “Rich”, just like they were under Clinton’s “Rich that gained unfairly in the 80’s!” BS....
Oh, wait... ;)
>By the time this is over anyone over $14,700 per year will be Rich, just like they were under Clintons Rich that gained unfairly in the 80s! BS....
In other words, those not dependent on Government handouts are “rich”.
Is that for a family or an individual?
Don’t know, doesn’t say.
The more money and programs they want, the more "rich" people they will find.
You’ll have to forgive our Governor he speaks with a fork in his tongue.
I sent the Youtube to Drudge. Please do likewise.

Look at it all further-— IRS breakdowns are simple::
If a “couple” has a threshold of $150,000, then a SUNGLE person has a $75,000 threshold.
Taxation for DemonRATs is like crack cocaine. There is just not enough crack cocaine. Just ask Obama.
The real rich who mostly support BO will not be affected by any tax hike. If you are a Buffet, Soros, Oprah or any movie star or sports star a 50% tax rate will not affect them very much or change their lifestyle. They also know that they will quietly receive tax breaks to make the rate lower; tax breaks that those of us in the middle class could never qualify for. Confiscate 90% of the billionair’s assets immediately and tax them at 80%. How many would then support BO? Actually, if McCain wins I think he should do just that to them — make them live with the policies they supported.
