Barack Obama gave John McCain another pre-Election Day gift this morning in remarks made to a Sarasota, Florida audience. After telling Joe the Plumber in Ohio that he wants government to “spread the wealth,” Obama told Floridians that opposition to such policies amounted to “selfishness”:
“The point is, though, that — and it’s not just charity, it’s not just that I want to help the middle class and working people who are trying to get in the middle class — it’s that when we actually make sure that everybody’s got a shot – when young people can all go to college, when everybody’s got decent health care, when everybody’s got a little more money at the end of the month – then guess what? Everybody starts spending that money, they decide maybe I can afford a new car, maybe I can afford a computer for my child. They can buy the products and services that businesses are selling and everybody is better off. All boats rise. That’s what happened in the 1990s, that’s what we need to restore. And that’s what I’m gonna do as president of the United States of America.
“John McCain and Sarah Palin they call this socialistic,” Obama continued. “You know I don’t know when, when they decided they wanted to make a virtue out of selfishness.”

Not being a tax-mad socialist is being selfish. Expecting to keep what YOU MAKE is being selfish. Not feeding a massive welfare state that empowers give-away socialists, is SELFISH.

Hey Obama, you want to pay for everyone to go to college because that will make them better off? Will you support vouchers to let them go to schools that aren't rotten? No? Hmm. Guess those parents in the inner cities are just selfish for wanting their kids to have a chance.

It angers me that he calls us selfish but look who is so selfish to charity giving. He thinks we are selfish not to let him redistribute our money. Who is really selfish?

It seems like on one hand Biden is saying it’s “patriotic” to pay higher taxes, then you have Obama saying he would lower taxes but if you want lower taxes you are “selfish.”
I believe Obi has become so arrogant and cocksure that it’s to the point where he’s actually mocking his own supporters. Think about it. He knows what he is (a hard core Marxist) and he knows he’s fooled them about it. So he stands up before his sycophants and says “oooh, they’ll call me a communist, oooh”, knowing full well that the idiots will laugh it off! He makes them the butt of his joke, to their faces, knowing full well they are too stupid to realize.... YES HE IS A COMMUNIST!

In fact, when no employers are hiring because their taxes are too high, no one's boats are going anywhere. Except straight down.
My life and my labor are my own. Even if 99% of the country votes to chain themselves to the State does not give them the right to chain me too.
Obamanomics: If you punch some holes in the bottom of the big yacht so it sinks, the water level will rise for all the little boats.
Six and seven figure incomes and these hypocrites barely make a dent in bona fide charitable contributions.
The most selfish couple on the face of the earth . . . that would try to divide and conquer yet not share their own affirmative action’d “earned” wealth with the truly destitute.
That tells me all I need to know about who these people really are. It’s all about there, always has been, always will be.

Sorry BO but wanting to keep the money we earn for hard work is not selfish, it’s called capitalism. You ought to try it sometimes since you’ve never really held a job that wan’t just handed to you.
