Okay, anyone want to start a pool on how soon Shawn Turschak of Chapel Hill has his tax filings and such examined?
For what?
The boy’s “father” should be more concerned he’s raising a thief and a thug. Perhaps the acorn (or is it ACORN?) doesn’t fall far from the tree.
No more mortgage payments or paying for gas in your car - the GOVERNMENT will pay for it!

I love the video. I watched it like 8 times in a row this morning. Was raving about it to my wife tonight. That guy is a STUD. Not only does he wire up his sign. Not only does he actually ZOT a violator, not only does he get it on video...but it becomes a national story. If I were that guy I’d be walking on air.
I think he was just referring to the kid getting a shock.

This is somewhat shocking, funny, and yet sad at the same time.
A resident of Chapel Hill, N.C., was very upset that someone kept stealing his McCain-Palin campaign signs from his yard.
So, Shawn Turschak decided to do something about it! And, being an electrical engineer really helped.
Earlier this week, Turschak decided to hook up a third sign to a power source belonging to an electric pet fence. He also hooked up a surveillance camera to catch the thief.
And, to everyone’s surprise, this time around it was a 9 year-old boy, with an Obama-Biden sign in his hand, that grabbed the McCain sign and got a jolt of electricity.
The child’s father is upset that his son got shocked, so he showed up at Turschak’s door along with an Orange County Sheriff.
As for the boy’s dad, he says his kid just wanted to see how the sign was put together.
Riiiiiight.
Turschak says the boy intended to swap out the signs.
But, in Turschak’s defense, he did put up signs warning of electrical shocks.
No charges are said to be filed and Turschak did remove the electric shockers.
The following day, though, his camera caught another person stealing another McCain-Palin sign off his property!

You can’t tell me a 9 year old is interested in politics so much to steal signs. Apparently his father wasn’t man enough to do it himself so he sent his kid. Disgusting.

Ahh... man... i’m disappointed!...
Looked more like the kid got something sticky on his hands, and he was trying to shake it off.
I was hoping for at least a little bit of a “Yelp” or a jump in the air, or maybe even a little bit of crying!
The guy needs to turn up the voltage, and sell online viewing slots where participants can rate the shocks!
That one scored a weak 3 out of 10.
It appears the lessons about going on anothers property and stealing something is lost on the tyke’s father as well.

Well, I can now join the ranks of McCain/Palin supporters whose sign was stolen. I noticed, this afternoon, that it was gone. Well, it was up for about a week anyway!
