Finally, the October Surprise and none too soon as October is over in a couple of hours. It is a specially effective surprise as I have never heard of Ken Duberstein.

Now I suppose we have to wait for the November Surprise??

I think he played Shortstop for the Cubs back in the late ‘40’s. Other than that I can't think of who he is.

Duberstein was brought in to replace Donald Regan after that kerfuffle IIRC. The Reagan administration was winding down and he was non-controversial and bland. That’s why he was chosen.

He was Reagan’s last chief of staff from 88 to january 89.

That was pretty much all.

Exactly...Duberstein was a caretaker Chief of Staff at the end of the Reagan administration. Not a policy position and he was well known to be a milquetoast Republican. More of the George HW Bush mold than Reagan, certainly.

If Obambi wins, and he turns out to be the national catastrophe I expect him to be, it'll be interesting to see how these turncoat Republicans react. Will they just slink off into obscurity and never be heard from again? Will they come crawling back to us and beg us to forgive them for their betrayal? Will they pull a complete David Brock and declare themselves full-fledged leftists, and announce that Obambi's capitulation to our enemies and destruction of our national character was a good thing because America needed to be taken down a few notches?

It'll have to be one of those scenarios, because the chance they'll be able to say they did what was right for America will be about zero. That'll be obvious within less than a year of his election.

And, for the record, if they do come crawling back and want a job with the 2012 GOP ticket, they should unceremoniously be given the bum's rush. I don't ever, and I mean EVER, want to see the likes of Parker, Powell, Noonan, and company welcomed in GOP or conservative circles again. They've crawled in bed like cheap crack whores with an America-hating Marxist thug in one of the decisive battles for our national soul. We have no further desire to associate with them.

Love it.

We have their frickin’ Vice President (Joe Lieberman) and they have some lobbyist who used to keep Reagan’s calendar appointments straight.

Uh huh.

Ken Duberstein was Reagan’s last White House Chief of Staff. Duberstein served during the final 10 months of Reagan’s administration. I apologize if anyone was unaware of that./s I thought my Gucci Gulch implication spoke to that.

He played no role in the Reagan Revolution and was effectively padding his resume for 10 short months. Prior to the WH gig, he was an obscure, back-bench lobbyist.

To call him a Benedict Arnold, would be besmirching Benedict Arnold.

I wanted to get the story out there and lessen the BM spin

As for the balance of the sleeper-agent PROGRAZIs that merely have an R by their name; There will be blood, the pogrom shall be vast.

Obama is the midwife for GOP2.0.
