Talk radio giant Rush Limbaugh says that Sen. John McCain will score a stunning upset over Sen. Barack Obama and win the presidency on Nov. 4.
In an interview with London Telegraph correspondent Nigel Farndale published Friday, Limbaugh said the mainstream media has been pushing Obama’s candidacy because “They want to be able to say they did it if Obama wins.”
To which Farndale countered, “Well, he is going to win, isn’t he?”
Limbaugh’s response: “No, I don’t see it Nigel. I think [Obama has] been dead in the water since the primaries. He is going to need to be up 10 to 12 points to win by 3 or 4.”
The latest “poll of polls” on RealClearPolitics.com showed Obama leading by 6.4 percent.
“Don’t forget,” Limbaugh said according to Farndale, “that Hillary winning was a foregone conclusion, too. If the polls had been right it would have been Giuliani versus Hillary. That’s why polls a year out are worthless.”
Limbaugh also told the correspondent that Obama has erred by “going around as the acting president. “It’s off-putting,” Limbaugh said, adding, “Unionized blue-collar Democrats didn’t vote for him, they voted for Hillary.”
On Friday, Limbaugh stopped just short of outright predicting a McCain triumph during his program.
“My gut hadn’t been giving me any indication on this race, but it started talking to me last night,” he told listeners. “Barack is headed back to Iowa. That should be a lock; it’s a dead heat.

Yes, Obama is from Illinois. Rush was talking about how Obama is headed back to Iowa to campaign, and Iowa was supposed to be a “solid win” state for Obama. If that is true, why would Obama spend time campaigning there with only three days left?
Rivera didn’t say. He simply said that he predicts the end of talk radio, which the right dominates. That’s my guess Rivera believes the Un”Fairness Doctrine” will become reality again.
This interview took place in August according to Rush who mentioned it on his show today. According to Rush’s “gut” he doesn’t have a read on the election as of today. Rush in August, Rush today. Take your pick.
I think Rush is right. I see so many McCain Palin signs in my state NC. I also read last night on Digg a comment from a former Obama supporter who was sick of him. He said he has paid workers to go onto other websites including the GOP sites pretending to be McCain supporter but then question what he stands for and switch their support, they go to every online news outlet to praise and vote for Obama saying they just can’t vote Rep again. He said they get drilled continuously about what they are doing and what to say and where to go. It was really scary how far the liberals would go to eskrew the polling numbers. The large numbers that turn out for his rallys...paid supporters they have to show up, given bus tickets or car pooling to get there just for show so when he loses it will look like the republicans stole the election.
That line and the title are contradictory.
Bill O has to be fair and balance...even when they are clearly wrong.

Outright censorship would be the only way to shut down the wildly and consistently successful Rush Limbaugh. Any attempt to censor right-leaning radio programs and internet sites, (conservative TV? what conservative TV?), media would be a rather large step toward civil war in this country.
IMO he's right (as ususal 98.8% of the time). Everything I've seen and read shows Mac winning.

IF somehow BO were to win on Tuesday, buyers remorse will set in even before the Inauguration. Conservative fundraising and media outlets will grow exponentially over the next 2-4 years and BO’s presidency will be a living Hell... in large measure because he is an inept empty suit.

I did not vote early. I had to work. I will vote Tuesday with my first-time voter son. I will, literally, drag him out of bed if necessary.

I am heartened by what is shaping up to be a huge, huge turnout, and a slight shift in under 35s to Mac. I am also encouraged by the fact that Americans still enjoy a secret ballot.

RCP poll also includes CBS, NBC, and other highly slanted media polls (re: PEW), so if RCP say 6.4% lead for Obama, it probably is actually around 8% lead for McCain. Rush said on his show yesterday that his “gut” wasn’t telling him anything, but then today he said “my gut finally started speaking to me last night”. He mentioned Obama’s appearance in Colorado as one of the factors. Colorado, site of the DNC convention and the Greek Theatre acceptance speech, was supposed to be a done deal. If Colorado is still in play, Obama is in big trouble all over the country.
Oops, that should have been Iowa.
