On the GOTV efforts, they say that they have spent more money on turnout in the past two months than any other election. The RNC’s ability to raise money has given the GOP parity on GOTV and in advertising. Their turnout efforts grow week-on-week, and may be the most underreported aspect of the campaign. The microtargeting, VOIP efforts, and analytical models continues to improve the GOTV efforts. They’ve made 5.3 million targeted calls and doorknocks in the past week, and 1.3 million yesterday, to persuadable voters, and 24 million to date. That’s a major improvement over 2004 and 2006, and they expect to make 17 million more in the next 72 hours.

Recently, a bill was introduced by Congressman George Miller, democrat of CA to eliminate the tax deduction of 401K contributions and force us all to pay increased taxes. The law would obviously increase downward pressure on the stock market, though forced 401k liquidations.
John McCain would veto this bill. Instead, he will get our economy back on track by allowing a 10% tax credit for R&D investments and accelerated equipment depreciation to create jobs, especially through small businesses.
As a McCain volunteer, I hope we can count on you support November the 4th.

He will reform Washington by going after Freddie, Fannie Mae and Acorn.
He will break our dependence on foreign oil, which will cut prices at the pump. McCain will employ an ‘all of the above’ strategy to diversify our sources of energy.
On defense, he will not be tested as an inexperienced president as Biden has pointed out Obama would be.

We are all feeling the pinch of higher energy prices and John McCain will lower energy prices through increased production in a environmentally friendly way. Obama will discourage employers to maintain health coverage for employees through unreasonable mandates. This demand induced forced rationing of existing government healthcare such as Medicare and Medicaid will create shortages of doctor and facilities.

Are You Going to Help?
There’s still time to help elect John McCain and Sarah Palin. This past weekend, I made phone calls through the volunteer online phone bank. I admit, I was uncomfortable cold-calling complete strangers on a Sunday afternoon. But it was ultimately a rewarding experience. There were people who still claimed to be undecided. There were also several Republicans who sounded like they needed a little encouragement to go to the polls. I like to think I made a difference.
In the middle of the afternoon, I blegged for advice because I was having a hard time talking to answering machines. As I expected, the wisdom of crowds made things much easier.
Please consider making phone calls on behalf of McCain/Palin 2008 in the next few days. The process is very easy. Sign up at the top link above (I’m fairly certain you don’t even have to use a real email addy if you don’t want to get GOP emails) and within minutes the website will provide you with names, locations, phone numbers and scripts. (I think the hours are from 9am to 9pm Eastern.)
You generally get to choose the state you’d like to make calls to, so if you have free long distance like me, you can help out with some of the battleground states. My suggestions are Colorado, Ohio, Virginia, and Pennsylvania.
I’m tucking some advice from last weekend under the fold. Read it first and then get calling. I challenge each of you to make at least twenty phone calls. It won’t take that long and it may make a difference on Tuesday. I’m going to be calling again this weekend too.
Later: I want to emphasize that you can make calls from the comfort of your own home. This is so easy to do, there’s just no excuse for not helping.
Get the names and numbers from the McCain/Palin website. Call in between loads of laundry. Call while you’re waiting for dinner to be done. Call after you put the tot down for her afternoon nap. Do what I did and call while you’re blogging. I know you guys spend countless hours just sitting in front of your computer. You could use a little of that time to call voters.

Get out the vote. Something we can all do without spending $
I’ve heard that many seniors are moving to Obama because that campaign has hit them again and again with ads that McCain is going to hurt their Social Security. So, if talking to a senior it might be good to get the straight info to them that McCain is NOT going to take away their Social Security or lower it.

This is the last weekend before the election and everyone is getting clobbered with phone calls. Your call needs to be very short and to the point — give your name, telling them Sen McCain and Gov Palin asked you to call to ask for their vote. Ask if they have any questions. Then tell them we hope we can count on their vote for Sen McCain on the 4th. Thank them for their time and tell them the phone call is paid for by McCain/Palin. I always end by telling them to have a nice day.
Don’t read a script but adapt to the phone call. They want a personal touch if they are going to answer the phone.
Tailor your calls to where you are calling to be safe on subjects. In Middle America in rural areas it is 2nd amendment and death taxes.
In certain areas of the city, it is blue collar workers and the fact the union wants to do away with closed ballots. Remind them that Todd Palin is a member of the United Steel Workers.
A lot of people unless they are white collar do not have 401Ks. Stay away from 401Ks unless someone asks because your chances of getting a household that does not have a 401K may be extremely high.
Always remember you are dealing with people that live by soundbites and whoever submitted a bill means nothing to them. They don’t care. Most will be glad to get a real person and not a robocall but it ends about there.
Be friendly first and foremost and always thank them for their vote and their time.

rnc victory will provide scripts. and you can also get down to your local GOP headquarters (especially if you’re in a battleground state) and volunteer. you will be making calls from the VOIP phones or campaign cell phones. i’m on the ground in a battleground state and these calls and door knocks are making the difference. saturday and sunday and monday are going to be huge!! get down there, roll up your sleeves and let’s do this!!!
The 401k script you see above works well with the small biz demographic and folks in their 30s and 40s.

Right. that is in script. It is how I make the scripts better.
The short and to point element of your post means you mention the issue FIRST and then you are volunteering for out spent underdog McCain campaign. Otherwise, you get hung up on.
This is what hundreds of calls teach you.
Make calls, or make your own GOTV shtick, print them and put them on McCain sticker cars.
