Its the most Republican county in the nation. The El Paso turnout is ginormous!

“Election officials say the numbers were unprecedented. More than 37,000 people voted early in El Paso County, roughly 5,000 more than the 2004 election.

“It’s a good thing for Election Day. It’ll help ease the lines at the poll places,” said Liz Olson, El Paso County Election Manager.

Olson said the county also issued a record number of mail-in ballots. “We’ve issued over 150,000 mail in ballots and have close to 100,000 of those back already.”

So 100k ballots are in already, with some 50,000 either to be mailed in, or about to be mailed in add in the 4th, and yeah, El Paso County is really stirred up.

I wonder what caused it?

True but illegal votes have been recently allowed to be counted (although under scrutiny). Do you remember what happened in the ‘04 election for WA Governor (Rossi vs Gregoire)? The same situation could happen in Colorado in November. You read here first.
