There really are no words, though I suppose we'll manage to find some. Wonkette, which bills itself as "the DC Gossip," and is the creation of Ana Marie Cox, now gone on to bigger things at Time, has this photograph up of Trig Palin, dressed for Halloween as an elephant and being held in the loving embrace of one of his sisters. [H/t reader Damian G.]
Wonkette appends this comment, suggesting—and there really is no way to sugar coat it— that given the choice Trig would wish he had been aborted:

Funny how liberals see an unwanted pregnancy as a burden, and see people born with physical defects as burdens to the state...
Yet actual burdens to the state, those who commit crime and refuse to be civil and productive, those who fail miserably at life due to their own behavioral and character flaws, those whose sloth and barbarity are subsidized by confiscating the earnings of the hard-working citizenry -
Are called constituents.

Here’s a personal story to go with yours:
My oldest daughter Sky worked with a Down’s syndrome boy named Jamie from 1996 when we were stationed at Malmstrom AFB, MT. In fact she still is friends with him and his entire family.
My very ill mother moved in with our family in May of 2001 because she wanted to die at home, surrounded by family. Jamie was a frequent visitor to our house in the months before she died. My mother really enjoyed him & he always made her smile & had a hug for her.
The day she died I had gone out to the grocery story - the first time I’d left the house in 2 days because I knew she was close to dying. She died while I was in line checking out - my husband called & told me. Later that day we left the house to deal with things.
When I returned & checked voicemail there was Jamie’s voice saying “I’m so sorry that Grandma Mary died, but she is in heaven.” He proceeded, in this beautiful voice to sign the entire song Amazing Grace. Most “normal” people wouldn’t have done something like that - but it was the most loving, caring thing & just what our family needed at that time. I cannot tell you how many times I listened to this young man, probably 15 at the time (not sure of his exact age) sing that song & tell me w/o saying so that he too loved my mom.
That is the type of love people know Down’s syndrome children for - unconditional love. Our world is better for people like Jamie and Trig - this world NEEDS what they have to give.
Those people are F&^%ing sick. Excuse the language but I could not imagine being the same company.
Amen to that.
I wish Barack Obama and his beautiful daughters no ill will at all. I’d like to think everyone here feels the same.

That was not a good way to start my Saturday after having some fun at the front door with the little wigglers in the neighborhood in all their spooky outfits....I love seeing all of them in their creative displays....
...and now to read about this monstrous creature and how her mind works - much less that she published her disgusting thoughts to show the public how awful her life must be....
...there is nothing left but to feel very sorry for her miserable self.
Can you imagine what it might be like to be her?

People like her need our prayers. It’s sad that their values are so disordered, and it would be too dangerous to allow them to take over this country.
The women who ponder the rights of another human being to live are trying to justify their own actions in many cases. The most vocal are the ones who have killed their infants-in-utero.
I wonder if she is one.
If you ever get the opportunity to share that photo here at FR, I would love to see it. Although to be honest I can see it in my minds eye as clear as day.

I’m not aware of any connection between Time and Wonkette. Yes, Ana Marie Cox founded Wonkette and now works at Time, but I don’t think Cox has a continuing affiliation with Wonkette.
