Room for speculation. What does this tell us about the plans for how the Campaign will get to 270? What does this say about VA (Only 3 times). Is VA lost or is it in the bag? Speculate...

It seems to me that a lot of the states that McCain and Palin are heading to are traditional battleground state MO,OH,PA,FL. This may be an indication that they believe that in traditional red states their GOTV is much more robust that we may think and they are not worried that Obama's GOTV will be over to overwhelm them. A swing through NV on the last day of campaigning but they will not be together. They do have a stop in IN and NC but they don't seem too worried

You can only do so much.

If Americans have to be talked into voting for a Navy hero over a street agitator then were in sorry shape indeed.

North Carolina and Indy are not in play. Barney Frank's 25% cut in Military comments have 0's chances looking bad in Northern Va.

Military jobs are huge for those cities.

There’s a lot of emphasis on Nevada. If McCain wins Ohio, Pennsylvania and Florida, Obama will need Nevada in a big way.

Virgina is the telltale. If McCain wins that on election night, it may be a long one for Barry O.

The New Hampshire visit is interesting.

It all depends on turn out.

Get out there and vote early and often, because you know that Barry O and his supporters are going to vote a couple of times each.

If VA were lost I don’t think they would be wasting a day there at this point. OH, MO, and FL are must wins. OH and MO are also highly prone to Dem shenanigans so these visits serve to boost morale and get people out to look out for cheaters. PA would be a gift and it’s not far from VA so why not visit. They have to win VA or PA based on my math. NV would certainly make things more comfortable, and it’s on the way to AZ and AK.

I do wonder of CO is lost or they feel comfortable there. A trip to NM and not CO seems a bit odd given NM has been in the lost column for months.

Has the McCain made this an issue in VA? Are there ads up in VA. THAT is the problem. a lot of things are coming out but is McCain capitalizing. For example, this whole thing about the Birth Certificate. It has now come out that Hawaii officials are refusing to release it. If McCain or Sarah mentions it on the stump we can make the video viral, send questions to the Drive Bys asking what McCain was talking about and force them to cover it but it has to start from the campaign. We can only do so much until he gets involved. John, Fight with me!

They may be thinking that Obama has a lot o GOTV work to do while the GOP has a much strong base and natural presence in CO. It is possible that there GOTV in red states is much stronger than we are thinking

We are hearing about record turnout in El Paso County (CO).

El Paso is heavy GOP (Colorado Springs). Record turnout means the troops are energized. CO stays with GOP.

Agree with you on Virginia. It will tell us a lot about the expected Obama GOTV campaign. If Obama loses in VA then there is a good indication that his GOTV was all hype and you will see the same thing play out all over the country

Yeah, I don't understand the strategery on NM. It's too 'Rat-infested and overwhelmed by illegals, who will vote 'Rat for one reason, free money.

If we lose VA early we'll probably have to call it a night and get ready to go underground. For all of the blood, sweat, tears, and hope that the campaign has plowed into PA, I just don't see it happening. If it does, I will be as happy as anyone and be willing to host my local FReepers to a beer at The Winking Lizard, but in the end I think PA will break our hearts. Another close loss.

MN and WI? Same deal there. Too many 'Rats. We've got to keep what we had in '04. There's just no other way to do it. Even if we lose NM and IA, which I am 99% sure we will, we can still win. But no other losses. If VA or OH or NC or FL go 'Rat, we're outta there.

I’ve got a good friend in Colorado and big McCain supporter. He does not feel optimistic about McCain’s chances in Colorado. Feels there are too many underwater subprime mortgage types who immigrated from California the last ten years that want government handouts they perceive they’d got from Obama.

That’s not good news. Yesterday there were rumor about Obama’s campaign being worried about CO aswell. Does Obama have any plans to visit CO prior to election day?

Looking at this schedule just reinforces what a lot of us have been saying the past week or so — we will know how things are going very early in the evening.

NH, PA, VA — If McCain wins VA, and is close or winds PA or NH, it will be a very happy night. If Obama sweeps all 3 it may be time to open the liquer cabinet.

For what it’s worth I just checked Obama’s events and they have it up for now and tomorrow. Michelle is going to CO today but no other appearances. Hillary will be helping in VA, Biden will be in IN and a lot of push for FL (They have spent a lot of time in FL lately). Kaalidi tape could have really helped our campaign in Florida (I think McCain takes it anyways)

a little disappointed McCain didn’t play harder for WI. I think Obama is overpolling there and will under perform in WI and MN

“Michelle is going to CO today but no other appearances.”

Incorrect. She will be in downtown Columbus, Ohio on Sunday with her husband. I saw a time of 1 pm but that might be when doors open since they are supposed to be in Cleveland, too.

Actually, this morning they are saying on the news that Michelle with be joining her husband in Columbus and Cincinnati. Another poster reported they would be in Cleveland today this afternoon. If they swapped Cleveland for Cincinnati it would make sense, because 0bama has Cleveland, Youngstown, Akron/Canton, etc. locked up. Central & Southern Ohio, not so much. Since everyone can see the finish line, I’m sure it’s beyond pretty hectic right now.
